With respect, Digits, might we have a response related to posts 24, 32, 83 and 98? Thanks in advance.

What do you mean? One reason I rank DS9 lower than others is because I found some of the characters really off-putting.
Specifically, Kira and Odo.
I can just imagine Nog on Voyager.
In Season 1, he gets busted for petty theft.
In Season 2, he gets busted for petty theft.
In Season 3, a writer suggests having him take his life in a new direction by joining Starfleet. One of the showrunners quickly quashes the idea.
In Season 7, he gets busted for petty theft.
Nah, I was just too lazy to type "he gets busted for petty theft" seven times.^what about seasons 4-6 though? Plenty of room for exciting ideas!

personally: Odo is a dirty cop, cheerless, petty, and not particularly good at his job. What do you mean?
And why Kira and Odo specifically?
Not sure the VOY writers could handle a long-term plot that interesting.Seasons 4-6 he’s on his best behavior trying to impress Seven of Nine.
Kira had a starting point that made sense. She had been a freedom fighter since she was thirteen, and the Bajorans finally managed to boot the Cardies... and then, the provisional government invites in the Federation, another major power... and one that didn't do much of anything to help while Bajor endured several decades of hell at the Cardassians' hands. It takes time for her to realize that the Federation is good for Bajor.Kira can suddenly become incredibly irrational over her own culture, completely incapable of compromise, early on, though she mellows out.

With respect, you're not the ''you'' he meant. Being a huge Auberjonois fan since 1978, I could not stand against him without probable cause, if then. But your response is appreciated.personally: Odo is a dirty cop, cheerless, petty, and not particularly good at his job.

Kira had one of THE best growth arcs in the franchise. She certainly started off angrier and more suspicious, but that is quite understandable given her personal backstory and Bajor's recent history.personally: Odo is a dirty cop, cheerless, petty, and not particularly good at his job.

If he WAS corrupt, it's news to me. I missed a good share of episodes in the middle seasons during one of my lifestyle changes. I'll bet he'd love the cuddly adjective.Kira had one of THE best growth arcs in the franchise. Odo... a dirty cop? I definitely don't see that. As far as cheerless... I do agree he can be very gruff, but that sort of comes with the job.
No.....she multiplied him back to normalcy.I strongly dislike Janeway. Because she murdered Tuvix.
Got to say... I've never heard that situation worded in that way before.No.....she multiplied him back to normalcy.
Why do people who start sentences "with respect" never mean it? You ready my reply, you saw i was adding on to it. You get that. My family watched Benson growing up, so it was funny imagining Odo as a somewhat melted Clayton Endicott IIIWith respect, you're not the ''you'' he meant. I meant it. I did read your reply. But you replied to a question asked of another poster. His opinion on Odo and Kira may differ from yours. Perhaps we'll know someday. Of course, that's assuming baseball-headed aliens can be considered normal. That's no reflection on Ethan Phillips. A couple of decades before the Tuvix incident, four members of the Legion of Super Heroes received the Tuvix treatment.....and it was up to Wildfire to return them to Saturn Girl/Colossal Boy/Shrinking Violet/Lightning Lad status. After I read that issue, I kept thinking what a horrible thing to do to Shrinking Violet. No one was charged with murder there either. Composited together, they were a brute-force whackadoodle menace to futuristic society.Got to say... I've never heard that situation worded in that way before.
I like it.
