A shame! What was the ASPCA doing?
My mom threw out my brother’s Ken Griffey Jr. rookie year card. He was pissed
My dad went to Mariners spring training one year. He got to see Griffey and A-Rod train as rookies!
I almost said I wish I could have been there but I hate Arizona weather. I was at a Diamondbacks game a few years ago. In the middle of July. I was lucky there was a cold snap (it was only 99 degrees) - could easily have been 110-120.

i want to buy back all the great vinyl-albums i had in the 80's....and buy a record player.
i wold love to find originals in ex conditions. hmmmm..starting with 1 album and go from there.....
so next month mission would be; Get the album "New Gold Dream" by Simple Minds!

I have precisely the opposite attitude. Don't miss vinyl now, never did. Hell, I was glad to get rid of it.
I don't even miss CDs, for that matter. IMHO, ditching physical media is very liberating. I'm even working on it with my DVD/BR collection...thank God for the iTunes Store!
Technically speaking, I suppose it does. But everybody knows its real meaning will always be linked to slavery.

I have an extensive collection, from classical, jazz, 60's-90''s rock in my basement-- mostly picked up in used record stores--but my belt drive player needs a tune-up.
As a segue, the hay fields were cut yesterday. Have I mentioned that I love that smell of curing hay...
Also this...being a country boy the smell of curing hay reminds me of...

Ditto, but I don't have to sweat my butt off stacking in the hay mow of a burning hot barn anymore
.It's all rolled into big-ass round bales now.
I like to look at houses on Redfin. Sometimes the listing won't mention the address. But if it's on the water, you can just go onto Google Maps and look around until you see a house that matches the photos!
There's a new listing that won't even show the photo, but it gave me enough details -- body of water, square footage and the year it was built -- that I was able to find it anyway. In this case, they're selling a building full of condos, but saying it's a single house, which is kind of deceptive. It's not like when you get there they'll be able to hide that there are six separate units, so I don't understand what they're trying to pull.

First world problems: When you have the letters in Words with Friends for GOLIATH but it's a proper noun.
Finally getting some lovely, regular showers and it's doing wonders for driving down the unbearable heat.

My husband is gone for 8 days. And I had a ton of things planned I was going to get done around the house and yard. But somehow it just isn't enough time. Everything I do takes way longer than it should. So I have a bunch of half done things. Awww...
Half -done is better than never-started.

Try this...and I was always happy when my vinyl came with liner notes.
But there is a solution for those that don't have liner notes.
And surfs up.
The whole 'Karen' thing started out as a way to discuss a kind of upper middle class woman who acts entitled and hostile toward service workers and makes snap judgments of people and it's already starting to evolve into a socially acceptable form of misogyny.
