Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I was thinking today about seasons 4 and 5 of Orange is the New Black.

Season 4 basically shows the prison being privatized, one psychopathic prison guard torturing prisoners, the jail getting more crowded and the situation getting worse and worse. They protest this by all standing on the tables, and one of the prisoners gets killed by an officer pinning his knee down on her for too long, leading to a season long riot in the next season.

Prophetic.

Every time I go out, fewer people are wearing masks or social distancing. And 2 of them just grabbed the last 2 Diet Peach Teas in the grocery store. (which is my REAL gripe, of course)

My brain is going to places like, I'm watching Brooklyn 99, and imagining all the characters out there spraying people with tear gas now.

I've gotten so used to go to stores with a mask on that when I forget to put it on before entering I kinda feel like I am naked, odd!

Sam Mendes wants streaming services to help keep live theater alive. In the comment section on one website, it's clear no one even bothered to read the article after seeing the word "theater" because they're commenting as if the topic is movie theaters.

QI is the best in the great British tradition of comedy panel television. Instead of current events, like most other panel shows, it brings up little known information loosely connected to the theme of the episode. Comfort TV for smart people (and those smuggly thinking of themselves as smart).

as it seems this guinness world record has a cap now that Al Jaffee is retiring at 99 years old.. wow.. --- mad magazine will not be the same..
Mad magazine published its final issue at the end of 2019. Any future issues will have no new content, only reprinted legacy material.

I used to be a big fan and regular reader of Mad, but frankly I thought it stopped being relevant (and funny) sometime in the 1970s.
