Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I can't watch the news right now. I've no affiliation and I'm aware the politics are incredibly complex but, FFS, so many innocent people on both "sides" suffering.

We're no better as a species, are we? There's been no real development. The whole fucking planet is just as medieval as 1023AD we're just more adept at pretending we're not.

Yeah, it's been making me cry a lot lately. I get it. *HUGS*

And for those who've never seen a horse pee, they practically make a lake, so it would have been pretty bad if he'd actually been close enough to get me.:ack:

One reason I do not want animals. I have a profound annoyance with their excretion habits and am happy to avoid it when possible.

If that kind of thing bothers you, then you've probably made the right choice. I have to admit, the first couple times stuff like that happened it grossed me out, but after a while you get used to it.
I just stepped back to make sure I was out of the splash zone and then waited until he was finished. I'm just glad he wasn't closer to the fence I was petting him over and that I was petting his face and not his side or he probably would have gotten me.

I guess Amazon thought it would be funny to advertise this little study in contrasts:

I know which one I'd rather read...

Oh, I've mucked out chicken coops and no doubt will experience them again.

But, yeah it takes a lot of mental control to deal with.

I'd much, much, rather do something like that than deal with people. For last few months I've been trying to find a job mucking out horse stalls but none of the stables I've tried appear to be hiring.
