Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I know a park where being caught littering means a 250 Euros fine that you have to pay immediately, consequently people manage to keep their trash and take it away when they leave. Nothing beats that kind of incentive.

My hands and feet are always cold because I have a thyroid contrition. I literally have to position two blankets over my hands and feet when I sleep and the rest is uncovered because I’m a naturally sweaty person with really cold hands and feet.

Maybe I should have posted this in the frustrated thread because I was frustrated just typing that.

^I have the same problem. In the summer, when it's SUFFOCATINGLY hot here, I will sleep in only my undies--and socks--because my feet are cold. Thyroid meds help, and getting more iron in my diet, but my hands and feet are almost always cold.

On the plus side, on the few times it does get cold here, I'm usually quite comfortable, as long as I have on gloves and warm shoes.

Hahah undies and socks are a good idea! I usually sleep in a big T-shirt and soffee shorts and end up kicking off my socks in the middle of the night.

The lack of being in any particular state? ;)
Incomplete. I may have passively absorbed one too many lifestyle pieces and developed an artificial sense of emptiness, but the feeling of inadequacy is real enough for now. I’m blaming the annual big push for Christmas tat, it seemed to start in earnest this week.

I hear you, Butters...
I have somewhat mixed feelings about this time of year. The materialism brings me down a bit. I love American Thanksgiving though, partly because I simply enjoy food with family and friends and that's really all I want in life (well, putting it simply), whereas Christmas seems to have more expectations and social obligations (which cause me mild to moderate stress) attached to it.

I started swimming for the first time in years a few weeks ago (Because I'm switching from running only to triathlon) and now I think I may have an ear infection. I hate wearing earplugs but probably need to find some.

Pedestrians are kings in my country... And I just don't mean tedious people. If someone manifests an intent to cross a road and you don't stop, you can, not only be fined heavily but also lose half of the points of your driving license!! which is enormous considering that if you do it twice in less than three years, you lose your driving license altogether!!!

My word, that sounds wonderful and should be introduced EU wide. Would cut down on road deaths and non-observant drivers.

Online dating. You don't know someone until you meet them, and sometimes, the person whom you like the most is the one you had the least to talk about when you were just chatting online. Physical attraction is powerful motivator, for good or ill. In the looking glass world of online dating it's easy to be blindsided by looks.

I met my now wife on OKCupid nearly 8 years ago.

I love oysters but I hate opening them, plus I have two left hands so I risk gashing my hand(s) in the process! So I always make sure to invite someone who doesn't mind doing that while I am taking care of other things in the kitchen. My wife is a wonderful cook but she can't open them properly either. I can never have enough oysters!!!
