Shit, why do you have to bring up those awful memories.
One should use spell-check. I have over come my fear.
I don't use spell-check because I'm sufficiently obsessive-compulsive about spelling not to need it; the machine just annoys me.
However, I don't know if that means I'm immune to ortographobia, or if it means I'm a textbook case.
That only happens to me maybe 10% of the time. But when I watch a movie I want to watch a specific movie. A lot of which are obscure, foreign, or very old films. Streaming services are great if your goal is just to put on something entertaining. But if you want access to any movie you could ever want to watch from all of history, they're not sufficient.

You spent money on a fancy rewinder?! All you had to do was put the disc upside-down into your regular player, and then fast-forward!

There are a few things I have come across that aren't on there Amazon Video as a purchase or rent, but nothing I really want to see, and I figure if I get to that point, I'll just buy it on DVD or Blu-Ray. Most of that stuff is old enough the discs are probably dirt cheap.
Doofuses. It's not a Latin root word.
Even some that are, like campus or opus, aren't treated with the I pluralization. Incidentally, words that end in um don't all get pluralized with an A either, like tantrum. I think which will/won't has to do with the declensions, or some such
My daughter sent us some low carb meals and they came in a Styrofoam carton and weighed a ton! I could barely wrestle it into the house after FedEx dropped it off. Turns out the 6 meals didn't weigh much, it was the 4 bags of dry ice that were so heavy. I took the dry ice bags outside and dumped them behind the deck. They immediately started to sublimate, which quite intrigued a group of squirrels.
My eyesight blurred for a moment last night. It resolved itself. I took an aspirin—all I can afford.

I love pie.
I like pie too, although I confess I don't really "love" it. I've kind of gone off desserts lately.
Not because of health reasons as such, I've just...lost my sweet tooth.
The only "pie" I honestly LOVE is Chicago style pizza!
