Psych

I love the show, but this last episode with the "think tank", Sean just came across as an ass. The humor was not working.

There's nothing wrong with having a contrary opinion. There is something wrong when it's based completely and utterly on ignorance and doubly so when you spend multiple posts crying out about it because of that ignorance.

I wasn't thrilled with it either. I also was really put off by the episode with Juliet's brother. My fiancee and I wanted to turn it off half-way through.

Overall, the show is still funny, two off episodes in almost four years (imo) is pretty good.

he's a self-absorbed narcissist that refuses to grow up...that's part of his charm...and mine....i loved every episode...even this one....especially his reaction when the people kept calling him an idiot lol....that expression he had is just ssssooo funny :-D

Naaaa, it was definitely off this episode. Usually he knows when to let go. A self absorbed narcissist would not continue behavior that would lead to people calling him "idiot".

I agree that the think-tank episode was subpar. The previous virus episode wasn't great either, but ended well with the serious and surprisingly poignant dramatic moment between Jules and Shawn.

"Beverly Hills Cop" with Eddy Murphy. another cult reference.

Tonight's episode was a vast improvement in Sean's characterization, though the plot was very helter skelter.

Oh, I got the reference. Had me cracking up pretty loud in my room.

I just forgot if it was two or three eps ago.

Hope you guys are sticking with Psych this season - because a new episode is coming on tonight! Take a look at a scene from that episode and get ready for 10/9c tonight.

Heads up for UK viewers- Yay, Psych is finally back in the UK, season 5 (yes, *5*, we're a year behind!) has its British premiere on Universal Channel tomorrow night (Feb 5) at 7pm...

I found it amusing and fairly well done. But the mysteries were loosely plotted. Just because they aren't serious crime stories doesn't mean they should be slovenly. Worse, an hour long comedy is kind of bloated, cumbersome, not light on its feet.

But those people are crazy if they think The Mentalist is copying Psych. The Mentalist is a House clone: Asshole who's smarter than everybody else solves problems. The Mentalist is rather easier to take because Patrick Jane is a partly reformed asshole. The Mentalist is quite aware that its lead is a borderline sociopath. Is Psych really aware what its lead would be in something remotely approaching real life?

I think they both copied Medium.

However I loved it on Psych when Sean said "You don't know who i am? Have you ever seen the mentalist? Great. I'm like him, but real."

Although when they highlight the things Sean is remembering, it's about 80 percent like when Dora the explorer is trying to find directions on Mr Map to plot where she's going that episode.

Unforgettable is awful and an obvious carbon copy of Psych, but made for knuckle daggers who can't follow along with CSI.

I loved it the first time they did that gag, back in season 4, but it wore thin by about the fifth repitition.

In the same episode.

Thankfully halfway through the season they seemed to realise that that horse was now glue, and stopped.
