*Potential Spoilers* What will the Alternate Enterprise-A look like

The original Connie II / Enterprise class TMP refit was and is the perfect version of this design. IMHO, it simply can not be topped, even now. It is sleek and futuristic and beautiful whether its 1979, 1992 or 2017. There is absolutely no reason that design could/should not have been used in the modern movies (exterior shots, at least) and I was really hoping (especially with how close the saucer from '09 seemed to be at times) that its first refit would realign it with its former canon.

The refit was great looking. Felt the nacelles needed buzzard collectors needed lights but otherwise great on outside

Interior was meh, but it was created in late 70s. Liked interior in STVI TUDC. Looked very good imo

Again WANT ST 4 & interior of A changed up a bit especially floor n wall colors

The new Enterprises are fantastic. The 09/ID Enterprise is reflective of the same Art Deco cues as the refit. It is upgraded a bit with a sense of muscle and power while maintaining those classic lines. The way the forward edges of the nacelle pylons stand perpendicular to the hull while still exuding speed, strength, and grace is perfect. And yet there's still a sense of fragility in the way the pylons join the nacelles and the placement of the forward deflector.

The ship does look better in 3D and motion than in stills but she's still stunning.

Picture's not the best quality (it's from the Barco Escape version of Beyond), but I love this angle on the refit Enterprise:

I might like to combine the TMP refit (better secondary hull with some of the details of the ships in Beyond.

Finally, some STB Enterprise-A love! PJT Models is releasing a Star Trek Beyond USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A model kit. It may not be 100% screen accurate but it's the only one we've got so far! And I do think that this particular model looks amazing!

If some of you guys buys it please post pictures of any orthos from the instruction manual (if it has any).

Yeah, that's just... what's the word? Pants. Definitely pants. If there's another film, I'm sure we'll see better renditions.

The proportions are wrong. Here are what they're supposed to be...

That also looks very nice. But I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate either. Is it based on the final movie version or Sean Hargreaves concept art? In any case personally I prefer physical models (that I can buy and hold) than CG models.

What is the deal with that cut-out area on the bottom of the secondary hull?

Looks like some rear firing photon launchers, but do they need that area hollowed out?

That... doesn't look great. Or accurate.

Hoping the Eaglemoss model is better
*ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: QUOTES SELF*

Having actually read the text instead of just looking at the pictures, I see that the model is a one-off modified ST'09/ID Enterprise. I was under the impression it was a prototype for a garage kit, and had no idea why they'd make a supposed replica inaccurate regardless of the modeller's personal feelings.

In that case, I disagree with his creative choices, but that's nice work!

Nightfever (Alexander Klemm) has finished his CG model of the 1701-A. He's posted these two renders, but has promised more on the way, and he's going to relase his CG model to the public. He had reference of the movie CG model, so his shapes are highly accurate. I plan to do all sorts of renders when he releases it. Enjoy!
