*Potential Spoilers* What will the Alternate Enterprise-A look like

I think she looks less ugly compared to the JJPrise. The biggest flaws have been removed for my taste but I will never like that design.

When JJPrise came out she was on screen for a long time, multiple shots, including many beauty shots throughout the film. This is an incremental change and was on screen for maybe 20 seconds.

Well, when the JJprise came out, there were at least half a dozen people building fan CG models or fan schematics, etc. With this it seems like nothing whatsoever.
Maybe people are biding their time. Maybe they see the poor box office for Beyond and don't want to get to attached to this new puppy before Paramount yanks it out of our arms and takes it back to the store.

I have uploaded an album of uncompressed captured frames straight from the Blu Ray. This is the highest quality look we're going to get. To view images at full size, hover over then click to expand, or right click and Open Image/Link in new tab.

Thanks for the screen caps. I missed the extending fins on the nacelles and the opening dish both times I saw the film. Plan on picking up the blu-ray myself.

Not crazy about the nacelle attachment points, and I'll probably always prefer the original ST'09/ID/BEY 1701, she's really grown on me. The detailing and CG work is, of course, amazing.

Alright, which one gets to be my background?

^Yep, I caught that ship on my second viewing of the movie. There's also a third ship when the Enterprise first docks at Yorktown. It's a saucer with two downward pointing nacelles and a secondary hull underneath the saucer. For all I know they're the same ships.

Is the "buzz" for the new Enterprise 1701-A any less than that for the USS Discovery? I've seen about the same amount of fan art, and discussion online of both (albeit with far more "Star Trek is ruined forever"- type over the top negativity regarding Discovery)

That's an Armstrong type from the first two movies docked behind her (the third 'center' nacelle has a different cap from the side ones in all appearances).

It's that weird new ship docked to starboard while the A is being built I want to see more of.

The USS Discovery has made very little impact, same goes for the show itself to be honest.

Bit of a damp squib so far, perhaps it is being covered far more in the US, practically non existent over here in blighty.
