Poor Jeri Ryan

I feel sorry that she did not have a REAL stud to keep her company Harry? Chacotah? For GOD SAKES, give that woman a REAL MAN. Riker would have kept her warm at night. Or Worf:borg:

So was Frakes told be boring and dull to make Dorn seem interesting too?

I wonder if Seven ever sleeps horizontally given that she regenerates vertically, which may say something for her first choices of sexual positions she might investigate...In WWII she probably slept regular like, Workforce too but the real question is about in Natural Law, the logical point for their hook up.

before hand how do you huddle together for warmth and afterwards how do you spoon a lady that sleeps standing up?

Maybe he had to make some harness to suspend himself from a tree or (Splints?) they just agreed to tie her down so she'd resist her instincts and comforts? if they'd stayed long enough one of them would have buckled under to the others lifestyle choices or they'd just have to go 50/50.

I mean because usually most accidental surprise sexual relationships begin because of diminished temperature plus boredom (plus booze, but this wasn't a factor here.) and that just screams Natural Law if Chuckles wasn't falling off her as her body returns to default mode and stands up which just leaves him face first in her toes hugging her ankles...

not the there's anything wrong with that.

Was this when she was pretending she wasn't Borg and napping with chakotay or when she passed out?

I always thought the most attractive thing about her was how pristine her hair was, then her posture, which is really just a presentation attribute for boobs, but slouching is very unattractive (Bigger the boobs, the bigger the (need/desire to) slouch. Gotta have a pity for women that play this game to ridiculous extremes.)... But Now I have to wonder if she had been cheating? To keep this Borgette standing like she is all the time while her conciousness is "out of it" off in nod, I'd guess that her skeleton is reinforced either with simple bridgework or they gone full tilt and Wolverined the lady. In either case "Slouching" is impossible, which is although only true for the character and not the actress, this lie balances out the other lie that Sevens attractive Boobs are probably real while Jeri's boobies are not.

sorry ill try again...

does anyone know if mulgrew and ryan were told to act in a way where there characters could look like they would become a couple? janeway was very flirty...

i was reading a bit before where people had said mulgrew treat jeri like shit, but there must of been something between them to act in the brilliant ways they did..
im no expert and dont claim to be but i think alot could be rumours.. or i would like to think its rumors but like someone said guess we will never know... lol
replys would be appreciated.

Maybe the apparent hostility toward Ryan was veiled attraction! We've seen stranger things when people "Meet Cute"

Mulgrew played Janeway as a bit touchy-feely - a pat on the arm here, a compassionate look there. She does that with all the crew - not just Seven. However, since Seven was a major player in the final seasons you would see that interaction more often than say with Harry.

And it's commendable to the professionalism of both actresses that whatever animosity may have existed between them was never evident on screen. The opposite, in fact. Perhaps they overcompensated, but the onscreen result conveyed an overall sense of mutual respect and affection. Brilliant.

Hey, people, exodus is like Superman and Wesley from Starfleet -- he doesn't lie!

I still want to say that Wang sounds like a good guy with a decent head on his shoulders. His Berman comments alone made me laugh so hard!

Just wondering (a conjecture) - IF KM was mean or whatever to JRyan, don't you think Ryan maybe would have complained or said something to her BF Braga, and maybe he or someone would have said something to KM? Or maybe someone higher up would have noticed this set tension (according to Wang) & could have said something to KM (if if had been that bad)? Dunno, seems like something that bad maybe wouldn't have been so tolerated by TPTB - KM was just an employee, after all, even if she was the star of the show. I think I remember that KM at first didn't want to do a 7th season and just about announced it, but soon after she & some UPN exec. made a statement that she didn't really mean that. So, it's kind of hard to imagine such purported goings on would have lasted so long. GS. PS, I have a file of Voyager clippings & have pix of the 100th ep. (Timeless) party and KM & JR were shown hugging a couple of times. OF COURSE, they probably were acting for the cameras, but if there had been such bad problems between them maybe they wouldn't have gone near each other at the party, much less hug & smile (yes maybe they were told to, but there were at least 2 such poses- I would have thought once would have been enough for such adversaries). Just saying! Obviously I don't know but there are theories abounding on this thread, so I'm just jumping in w/ MHO. (Am not doubting they did not get along since KM said so.)

a) I don't think Jeri would be the type to go whining to Braga because the big fish on set didn't like her. That would have been fulfilling all the 'she's just there because of her boyfriend' snide remarks no? I imagine she felt she had to tread very carefully on what she said in many instances lest favoritism be called.

b) the other higher-ups wouldn't have cared, and even if they did, they wouldn't have said anything. Mulgrew might not have been the hottest commodity in town by that point, but she was still the lead actor, and it would have sucked big-time had she walked like Bujold. Series wouldn't have been the same...probably wouldn't have lasted another season.

It's not professional to whine about your co-workers to your BF - or, for that matter, to anybody else - wherever it is that you work in any industry at all. Everybody just has to find a way to work together, and apparently on VOY they did. You don't have to be friends with your co-workers in order to do good work with them - and doing good work is in fact more important than being friends. The work is what you're there for - and that, too, is the same in any industry anywhere.

I guess I can kind of understand the interest with "What did she say? And what did the other one say?" but I just don't share it, and I really do not get the fascination, if that's an accurate adjective to use. It seems...well, kind of soap opera-ish to me. And we aren't going to get an accurate picture after all this time anyway. Everybody's moved on.

Ok, I can see where Ryan wouldn't be whining constantly about things, but she might have still said something (or been upset, she was human), and IF KM was herslf acting so unprofessional & it affected the atmosphere of the set (bad tension), then it would seem that someone (maybe a director or line producer) might have said something. Remember just recently on Grey's Anatomy they got rid of one of their lead actors partly because he was very rude to another actor & caused tension on the set. Sure, KM was the star but they brought in this hot young actress to help raise the ratings & TPTB maybe would have been afraid that RYAN would walk if she was really unhappy. Well, I'm not an expert in TV production, so I'm just giving my opinion - but TPTB seemed to have clamped down on KM when they thought she might be leaving, so it would seem that someone in charge would act if something was really bad, for the good of the show. Well, as in most things, maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle, just giving my just another fan 2 cents, thanks, GS.

Jeri didn't complain about the neck on her Borg costume being so tight it cut off blood flow through her carotid & made her pass out--until it was apparent that an actress passing out on set wasn't terrific for the production. Jeri didn't complain when she dehydrated herself rather than risk production shut-downs for bathroom breaks. Jeri didn't complain when she worked longer-than-approved-by-SAG hours during season 4.

If she wasn't complaining about serious stuff, then why whine about a co-star who didn't like her much?

Jeri grew up an army brat--she was well used to being the new kid in town.
