I'm the one with the glasses.

You're absolutely beautiful!

From the photo, Kestra's seem slightly curved upwards as you move from bridge to arms, which gives them a slightly more mischievious vibe.

Wait wait wait. I deliberately post a photo of me where I'm wearing glasses, where I'm not smiling, just to be called mischievous again? What am I doing wrong here?! It seems like no matter what I do, people think I look a bit mischievous.

I'm the exact opposite, not matter how hard I try to look cheerful and happy I always look like I'm about to murder someone.

Now I'm convinced: You are Richard Wolfe's younger brother.

I have a face for political spin? Wonderful! :D

Clearly, we're all just projecting our internalised Kestra identity onto any photo you post. Either that, or you subconsciously chose frames that bring out your impish self-image. Whichever works. :D

Ah, then you need half-moons. ;)

I am already tying the bun that'll go along with it!

I have a fairly long face, combined with some fairly strong features and black hair, so I chose a dark coloured frame but a thin-rimmed one. I like the idea of a bolder rim for next time, but don't know how it will work.

What I really find quite exciting is that some custom makers who will work with horn and/or wood. I have a feeling that the natural warmth of those materials might be quite interesting. It might be too bold for my features though. What I really hate about choosing glasses is not being able to look in the mirror when trying them on and see what I look like, in focus. Next time, I'm taking a camera along to take some snaps of the process.

I've uploaded a cropped image of me (looking rather sozzled, from last night since it's a photo I have handy right now); what do you think might work?

I think bolder rims might be too much for you, as you have quite prominent eyebrows. I really like the lighter frames on you and would also stick with the dark color, like you said. But maybe, if you want to shake it up a little, a dark brown or blue.

But, to be completely honest, you're asking a fashion illiterate. I had to take two friends with me to choose my glasses. I even take at least one trustee with me when choosing underwear. Sweatpants are the only things I buy all on my own.

You're absolutely beautiful!

Thank you. A compliment I can only return. :)

Edit: Thanks to you as well, CorporalClegg.

It's the eyes. They practically scream world domination.

Those glasses are kaput though, I should get my new ones next week!

^ And another one looking good with glasses. :techman:
Makes me feel better about mine.

What happened to yours?

Stop it, I'll get over-excited... ;)

You're really saying I need to start plucking or waxing, aren't you....? :p

It's a tough job, but I'd be willing to volunteer. :shifty:

She would be a benevolent, if capricious, dictator.

I know if I had to live under an oppressive, fear-mongering dictator, I'd just assume it'd be Kestra.

...Just as long as she doesn't take my eyes. :o

Your penchant for a severe character is frightening, yet alluring. No, wait. Just frightening. Had my bun on too tight. :p

Never! In the name of Lee Pace, don't touch those eyebrows! Just don't hide them behind equally thing frames, either.

It's a tough job, but I'd be willing to volunteer. :shifty:

Yeah, right. Holdy, honey, do you really think those panties aren't too tight?
Sadly, you wouldn't get past the "You need to have this much estrogen" sign to go along for the ride. :(

She would be a benevolent, if capricious, dictator.

She is nearsighted. I'd approve.

The frame broke when I was cleaning them. The warranty had expired (its 4 yrs old), so I decided to get new ones. My current health insurance covers just 99 euros, so I got rather cheap glasses (still costs me 120 euros), but when I'm in the Air Force I'll buy better ones (their insurance covers 250 euros).

"In the place of a Dark Lord you would have a Queen! Not dark but beautiful and terrible as the Morn! Treacherous as the Seas! Stronger than the foundations of the Earth! All shall love me and despair!"

... no? I'd be nice until the chocolate ran out, anyway. :D

^ Hey, at least your insurance covers anything at all. We have to fend for ourselves, so mine aren't exactly Prada either.
Sooo ... you don't happen to have -.5 in your left and -.75 in your right eye, hm?

That's exactly right! :guffaw:

*grovels*

Thank you O my Queen, I'm glad my words please you. I entreat you to continue to spare my life.

Stop it, I'll get over-excited... ;)

Very, very good!

I'd have been tempted to overegg the laughter pudding by using "hair-raising, yet alluring" in that line. I will endeavour learn from your more subtle, yet piercing, stiletto into my heart.

Never! In the name of Lee Pace, don't touch those eyebrows! Just don't hide them behind equally thing frames, either.

My eyebrows, and my pain threshold, thanks you. Good advice re: the frames too, I think. I wish I could get away with thicker frames though; I think they suit you well. I see what your friends say about it making you look serious, but they're also flattering. Keep the thicker frames, but maybe play around with different shapes next time round?

It's a tough job, but I'd be willing to volunteer. :shifty:

Sadly, you wouldn't get past the "You need to have this much estrogen" sign to go along for the ride. :(

I hate that sign. :(

I'd be an impartial, fair-minded observer. And I'll take great care that you don't drown in my drool.

No it's more like:
-3.25 right and -2.00 left.
I'm not as blind as a bat without my glasses, but it's not all clear to me either.
As a matter of fact, my vision is 120% in my left eye, and 80% in my right one.
So whenever you think Im winking, im just closing my right eye to see better. ;)
