It's 2025. What things do you miss now that we used to have?

That was interesting.

What about holidays?

I miss that most jobs in recent years people work right up to Christmas and then start again a couple of days after, if they're lucky.

I might be showing my age but I can recall a time when you had the whole week off from around the 21st to Jan the 2nd.

I was thinking back in the early months of COVID that this disease would be an accidental boon to the drive-in cinemas that still operate.

I've never been to a drive-in, mostly because the trend had dried up by the time I was born. And it doesn't help the fact when you live in a Country where they can't operate year round.

But in 2021, during Covid, I attended a drive-in style concert with quite an amazing lineup, the two biggest being Serena Ryder and the Julian Taylor Band . It was awesome! What they had done was they set up a stage at one end of a parking lot and had everyone attending park in such a way where they could see the stage. Then you were given a radio frequency you would tune into and you were told to stay in your vehicle unless you needed to use a porta potties, and instead of clapping people were honking their horns. It was such a fun experience that I thought for sure this kind of thing would have caught on during our quarantine mandates.

OMG that would have been awesome fun....

Oh yeah, it was an awesome experience! Probably one of my favourite concert experiences. The only reason I can think as to why it never caught on is that it sounds quite expensive to organize, because unlike a regular concert, you have to have a large enough space to host so many cars plus the temporary stage.
