It's 2025. What things do you miss now that we used to have?

I remember, as a kid, that when I spoke to my friends on the phone, in most cases (having visited their houses) I knew exactly where they were standing as I spoke to 'em. Never had to ask :Where are you," which is crazy!

And if you wanted to invite a friend over to play, you just called them up and invited them. No need for "play dates," our parents didn't have to make a goddamned appointment.

audio cassettes even have made a small resurgence but it's not widespread and feels very niche

Maybe they will make a comeback… like vinyl records.
On second thought…nah.

Music CDs still have a place (you're less likely to truly lose music and they can be easily converted into versatile MP3 type files).
