Have you got vinyl caped Jawa?

I've got quite a few vintage figures from the 70's (displayed in a cabinet designed for little plates or something). Also bought a lot of AOTC figures because I liked the detail, and other random things I liked such as the cantina set that fits together. Wanted to get Wicket from the latest release of redone vintage but couldn't find him.

SW set me free from my completest tendencies. It kind of came down to a mortgage or SW, LOLOL

Would love to see army photos.

I'll see if I can post some for ya! :) No, unfortunately I never got the original 1978 vinyl-caped Jawa, but if I had him he'd be worth two to three thousand dollars based on the condition of the packaging. Wicket showed up in my area on a Vintage Collection card but I didn't see many of him. Just a few and then they were all gone, but I made sure to grab one. That's so interesting and cool that you were into the hobby! It can get uber-expensive depending on what you buy and how much of it, but if you're kinda careful and limit yourself to certain items you can come in within your personal budget. I don't collect the recent animated CLONE WARS stuff nor a lot of vehicles, ships or playsets so that makes things significantly easier on the wallet.

I had vinyl caped Jawa back in the day. Foolishly sold him along with the rest of the toys around 1983 to buy a surfboard.

I had a Power of the Force(1985) Han Solo with Carbonite Block and silver collector's coin. It turned out years later to be worth more than $100.00 loose and out of the package...hundreds more if it was still carded.

I traded it for some G.I. Joe crap and worthless foreign currency when I was about thirteen years old. I seriously consider having someone whack me in the head with a Louisville Slugger whenever I think about doing that. Naivete of youth? Probably. But damn foolish in hindsight. :brickwall:

I used to have the original 12" GI JOEs. Including the helicopter, Mercury capsule, and the 6 wheeled buggy. I also had nearly all of the original micronaut toys that were available in the U.S.

I had a lot of the early '80s Joes, but played with them until a lot of the characters were losing limbs and heads. I treated my STAR WARS and STAR TREK action figures with caution or even like gold, but when it came to my classic '80s Joes I beat the living snot out of some of them. Of all the ones I had when I was about nine or ten I probably have fewer than half a dozen left, and those are missing paint and have scratches and scuff marks on them. I will say this much for the 80s Joes...they made them pretty well. They'd probably last longer in a rowdy kid's hands than a modern, post-Y2K Joe.

Got some headshots taken last week and just got the first few back from the photographer. Unfortunately I was a little sick and I think it shows, but here is one of my favorites:

That is a very cool shot.

Ugh I really have self esteem issues with my appearance but I'll try this once.

Not really sure what colour my eyes are, I list them as Hazel as that's the closest.

^My eyes are pretty much the same colour as yours and I never really know how to describe them either. Their colour seems to change depending on what I'm wearing.

So this past weekend my wife and daughter had their hair dyed pink for a charity event run by the Make A Wish Foundation.

My wife really seemed to want me to participate too so I thought "what the hell!"

Lucky for me the dye washed out pretty easily.

You have a beautiful family, Seeker. And I know what you mean about the eyes, mine seem much greener one week, bluer or browner the next.

Mine vacillate between very light blue and blue-green. Some of my closest and oldest friends have had trouble remembering what my eye color is because of that.

Could be much worse. I've known parents who can't remember a child's birthday. I'm always mystified at how some mothers can't seem to remember the specific day they passed an object the size of a small pumpkin through one of their orifices.
