This is a photo of me with my niece. It was taken in October

I finally got these two pictures, like just now, on my webcam. But I think they'll do. I'm finally posting on here.

I was just pretty much too lazy to get my decent camera and a different shirt. Whatev.

I also didn't take a picture of myself doing my scary face, which could really look like a very scary face, but I'd look like a demon if I posted that. :p No, no photoshopping. I just have the perfectly misaligned teeth.

^ Wow! Well, everyone tells me webcams are notorious for taking bad pictures, yet you look cute as a button here! If they're right about those webcams, you must be absolutely stunning in person! :)

(Note: If you happen to be under eighteen, you should probably end that paragraph above after "cute as a button here!".)

I still wanna see that scary face. (Oh, and I can sort of empathize with the misaligned teeth. I just recently lost a cap off one of my front teeth, leaving just the small, jagged remnants of the original tooth showing. I've been striving mightily not to smile in public ever since. :D)

And are you really a piano wiz?

Hehe. I just used Paint.NET to clean up some of the background image "noise", resulting in a much better image. Thank you! Cute? Hmm. I'll see. I appear much nerdier in person, I assure you. I've got little discoloration spots all over my face, LOL.

Scary face? If you insist.

Don't say I didn't warn ya. Note: that's also a lot more frightening in person.

Indeed, I am a professional piano player. I've played paid solo concerts before. All classical, though, before you ask. ;)

^ Hmmm... You know, I'm not seeing a whole lot of misalignment of those teeth. Methinks maybe you're shooting for perfection? ;)

Seriously, they look fine to me. (And, believe me, I look much worse with my missing cap! :D)

Oh, and always remember, one man's "nerdy" is another man's "beautiful." :)

A couple more from last weekend's convention...

This is me with the aforementioned Dave, whom I referenced when writing "I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that" on my co-head's back in the picture I posted earlier this week:

WithDaveRoss.jpg

One of his nicknames is "Naked Dave," because he's seldom seen fully clothed. (It's not easy to tell in this photo, but he can easily get away with it.) I impressed the heck out of someone at Dragon*Con last year by walking up to the half-naked guy and saying hello... they didn't know that I actually knew him. ;) That's the convention mascot on his lap, named "The Behemoth". (It's actually named after a roller coaster, so get your minds out of the gutter. :p)

This one was taken on Friday afternoon in the con suite:

Next to me is my friend Emily, who worked on the event and with whom I work on the Constellation Awards. (She has a boyfriend, guys... sorry. In fact, she's dating my programming department co-head - they've been together for a year and a half or so. I actually introduced them, knowing that they both had an interest in urban exploration. It turns out that she was a member of the same theatre company I was in university, and we have several mutual friends - one of her closest friends was actually in my wedding party, nearly 18 years ago. And in fact, in the picture with Dave, I'm wearing the cast sweatshirt from one of the shows I was in with that company.)

On the far right is author Robert J. Sawyer, who should need no further description as I'm sure you all have heard of him by now. ;)

Well if this doesn't crash the server then I suppose nothing will...since some of my fellow class of Red Shirts have been brave enough I guess its my turn...

Just playin on face-in-hole

well there you have it...just me.

Hahahah! It is indeed the Ozzy look. :D

You're flattering. I was trying to get a darker angle, as I was resetting the built-in webcam, but the light didn't come out quite right, so it is kinda hard to see the teeth. Ah well, I'll be at some ComiCon. One day. :p

I am usually quite confident in myself [modesty is not my forte] but appearance is not quite something I like to focus on. ;)

...If you were going anywhere with that, I'm not single either.

^ Nope. I don't fish online. Flatter sometimes, but not fish. ;)

And I guess if you're going to insist your teeth are horrible, I'll have to take you at your word on it. (But I really don't see it. ;))

I wonder if all those " ozzy " comments were a good thing, though you can't believe how often I hear that, side note i made the kirk picture about 2 years ago and used it as my FB profile picture, my g/f at that time HATED it and refused to speak to me til I changed it, for some reason that amused me.
