So, my aunt emailed me some old family photos and I thought I'd share this one -- I draw your attention to my ear. That's not a trick of the light or my hair covering it, that ear is actually pointed! My parents, good Trekkies that they were, used to call it my Vulcan Ear. Strangely, while both my ears are still slightly deformed (and look different to eachother), that one somehow managed to round itself out a bit as I grew up. It still has a little kink in it where the point was, but it's not noticeable anymore, and until I saw this picture I actually forgot that for the first 10 or 12 years of my life I had a Vulcan Ear.

I'll forgive my aunt misspelling my name for the wonderful coincidence that this was the first in the next batch of photos she's just sent -- there's some Vulcan stoicism for you!
