Picard Season 3 Teaser Trailer

I agree with you, but unfortunately I'm sure that ship has sailed. At this point in the franchise, pretty much any show can show any era of Trek how they want it to be, and they've bled back and forth into each other. IMO the next chance we have to remedy things is the next time someone has as Kevin Feige-esque reign over the whole thing and can enforce a singular visual continuity over the shows in that production era. Who knows, it may not be possible between five different shows and multiple production houses in the current production environment for the amount Paramount is investing in it.

We had that, more or less, from 1987-2004. From 2009-20XX we've little choice but to embrace the suck.

Psst - it's monthly. Stop paying for it. It will go away. You'll save a few bucks each month.

Then how will I watch the shows that I do like?

No, it would have looked bad.
The TOS movie ship aesthetic still holds up, TOS doesn't.

Yes, because making DSC look nothing like TOS was surely the way to go for a show that takes place ten years before it.

Surprisingly, one can mimic the aesthetic of TOS with 2000’s production values and still produce a realistic looking show.

I've been going back over the Starbase shot, and spotted some ships I don't recognize
Kinda of Bulbus, with what I presume are 4 nacelles, but I'm not seeing any red for bussards, but it's possible the bussards are just blurred out of existence by the focus/video quality.

I also think I spotted multiple Odyssey classes in the fleet, so the Enterprise-F might not be the only one in the season.
