Spoilers Picard Season 3 - Preview Photos/Videos Thread

I think the reason the changeling goo is different (less liquid gold like in DS9 and more like raw meat) is because the rogue changelings are hybrids. They somehow merged their changeling DNA with the DNA of "solids". It would explain why the goo looks more solid now. I think this episode might explain why they did this: to become immune to blood screenings so that they could better infiltrate the Federation and exact their revenge.
Or perhaps the DNA of one particular soild, Jack - and now somethings gone wrong, and they need him, or more of his DNA, to fix it.

Screen Rant's exclusive Episode 5 clip:
Wait a minute, it's a shocking moment to learn these Changelings can pass the blood test that's usually used to detect them? There were Changelings on DS9 that fooled the test all the time. Like the one impersonating Martok.

I don't think it's shocking. I think it's just confirmation.

The shocking part is not that they can fool the blood test, it's how they can fool the blood test now. These new changelings can keep their human form even after death and can replicate internal organs and bodily fluids. That's new. In the past, a changeling could temporarily mimic a little blood to fool a test. But now, these new changelings can replicate the same internal structure as a human, making it virtually impossible to detect them since their internal organs and fluids will be human-like.

There's still one big question in my mind ...
How did theses Changelings figure out that Jack could help them?
(or hinder them)

What prompted them to start going after him?

Given the the Changelings, I wouldn't be surprised if a DS9 character shows up to help out. Episode 7 is titled
Dominion
So it's possible a trip to the Bajor sector and a certain space station is involved.
Will they fly around the station few times?
