Spoilers Picard Season 3 - Preview Photos/Videos Thread

Well, yeah, they have to have a moment of mutual understanding, and Picard asking for trust and Shaw willing to trust.

 

So i rewatched the trailer for this week episode and at 00:20 seconds with Worf and Raffi standing off with what looks like changelings and one of them LOOKS LIKE ODO! Granted I know Rene Auberjonis is dead but what if they got someone to wear the mask.

 

it's way too dark and low quality for me to tell. Couldn't it just be another changeling doing the face?

 

It was a lot of makeup, but that face was pure René Auberjonois. I'd lean towards no recast on that one, as great as Odo was,

 

it would depend on the family giving the ok. But they could do a CGI type Odo with someone doing an impression or using old voice clips (like in Prodigy). Sorta like what they did in the 7th Fast and Furious movie when Paul Walker died during production.

 

If it is in fact Odo, Its possible they may get Rene's son who is also an actor and sounds exactly like his father and has the same mannerisms to do it

 

I'm serious. The episode accidentally streamed on Paramount + Brazil for a short time and someone on social media watched it and posted screenshots and some information about the episode as proof.

Why would Odo have armed guards, pointing their weapons at someone he considers a friend? Odo detested guns and would never allow their use for his personal protection and he isn't the type to have armed guards following him around. It is not him.

 

Which blob are we supposed to be looking at?

Completely off-topic, but I didn't figure out the Magic Eyes until after their popularity began fading.. Just putting that out there.

Spoiler: My theory

I think the reason the changeling goo is different (less liquid gold like in DS9 and more like raw meat) is because the rogue changelings are hybrids. They somehow merged their changeling DNA with the DNA of "solids". It would explain why the goo looks more solid now. I think this episode might explain why they did this: to become immune to blood screenings so that they could better infiltrate the Federation and exact their revenge.
