I'm starting a petition to cancel you.
Life already did that, and its gaining momentum.

I'm starting a petition to cancel you.
I'm offended.I'm not happy with your insinuation that no one is happy. I'm starting a petition to cancel you.
It's a joke. Feel better now Greg ?
I'm afraid I'm lying however.
Oh, I don't know, there are SEVERAL weeks before it goes into production...
I still think it would be nice if they had more cgi aliens. Who's with me?
Can I use cgi petitioners?Petition for more CGI aliens.

We need a petition for a petition for more CGI aliens first though.Petition for more CGI aliens.
I think it would actually be cheaper (and look better) to CGI-enhance real actors rather than create and animate entire characters.I'm more than happy with real people. CGI aliens create another expensive weekly hurdle for the show.

But it's the only way to have truly non-humanoid aliens. For example Picard once spoke of aliens with four arms but we never got to see them.

A four armed character doesn't really add anything more to a story than a two armed character does. Ten seconds of "he's different" then the show is stuck doing it weekly.
Oh ho, my, okay. Well, good luck, but you won't get a signature from me.https://www.change.org/p/cbs-cancel-star-trek-discovery-and-greenlight-a-post-nemesis-series
This is a petition I started working on right after I read the news about Discovery being set ten years before The Original Series. I know it's controversial, but I felt the people who agree with it deserve a petition.
I'd say Armin Shimerman, along with the writers is what made Quark work. I think that's what Bill is getting at, CGI and make up are no substitutes for solid writing and acting.Well, you can say that of almost everything.
Why did Armin Shimerman need to spend four hours in make up if as you say "it doesn't really add anything more to the story" to have him look like that? Why not simply put on a plastic mask and be done with it?
