No, I said it as an opinion. If someone is talking about a matter of taste and they say "This one is worse than those," most people would immediately understand it was an opinion without them needing to literally add "in my opinion."

I enjoyed tonight's episode. I didn't love it though as I feel it was mostly set up for what will probably be two exciting concluding episodes. The preview for next weeks episode definitely looked like it was full of energy.
For me tough, the episode gathered momentum every time Rachel was onscreen, but that's probably just because she's my favorite clone. I'm really interested to see how her storyline continues after tonight's episode. I know this isn't the end for her, she's too strong of a character to exit the show this way (note: I don't in any way believe she's leaving the show, but if they wanted to this would be a way that they could do it).
Seems a bit anti-climatic that Cosima's new girlfriend turns out to be a spy. I think most everyone suspected that and I know a lot of people were hoping they wouldn't go down that route. I liked the fake out with the copy of the book. But a lot of good it did them in the long run. Poor Krystal though, first she's accosted by the Castor boys, then she gets her identity stolen, and ultimately placed into a coma so Rachel can escape from Dyad.
The Helena stuff with Alison and Donnie fell a bit flat for me. From the previews last week I was hoping they'd wring more humor out of the situation, but I guess after last week's episode which was full of humor, they decided to dial it back.

Wow, Maslany was almost unrecognizable as Krystal. She's just a bottomless well of characters, isn't she? I loved the behind-the-scenes featurette, learning that they'd originally just intended Krystal as a one-time clone for the security footage, but the character Maslany created intrigued them, so they decided to write her in. That's just wild.
And Jordan Gavaris got to be a bit of a chameleon too, with Felix putting on a Canadian accent. His Felix-ness really kind of disappeared while he was in character. (More evidence of the Canadian setting: Sarah gives the distance to Krystal in kilometers -- or kilometres -- rather than miles.)

Meanwhile, I can't keep track of all the secrets and betrayals. So... Delphine was working with Nealon to get the book... and they let Clone Club get Rachel out so they could follow her to the book... but Rachel was working with Nealon to double-cross Delphine and get out for real... and what? Huh? Why use one escape plan as cover for another escape plan? I guess because she didn't want Clone Club to be able to trace her? But meanwhile, Shay is probably a spy for Castor, which would probably explain all her suspiciously spy-like behavior.
Helena with the Hendrixes is kind of amazing. It was sweet how much she liked playing with the little girl. I doubt she ever got to be a little girl herself. And it threw me a bit how well she and Gracie got along. Now that I think about it, though, Helena helped Gracie and Mark escape, didn't she? So they've already come to terms.
However, I'm pretty sure Helena is going to murder Jason for beating up Donnie. As soon as those two guys started fighting, I knew it had to escalate into something horrible, but I couldn't see Donnie getting killed off, and Donnie accidentally killing Jason would be so last season. But then I remembered the scene where Helena was attracted to Donnie, and I realized that probably marked Jason for a horrible fate at Helena's hands.

For the reasons you cite I suppose, and also I think because Nealon and Rachel were playing Delphine as well, so they had to let her plan play out (allowing Cosima and Scott to get Rachel out) so Nealon could ultimately get Rachel out of Dyad.
Second greatest casting choice ever. I still think Robert Downey gets the nod for Tony Stark, but if stark ever needs a bunch of girlfriends with the same look but different personalities...
Loved this episode and I really love how this season is coming together. Last year it seemed like there were so many hanging fruits and that might be why the season felt Chaotic. Here, everyone seems to go after the same thing and even though I had to see the ending twice, I really enjoyed this episode. Some small thoughts:
-Who does Neelan talk to on the phone? I don't think it's Shay, and it wasn't Coady. I originally thought he was the insider guy everyone was talking about but if someone can clear up the ending a little bit, that would be much appreciated.
-Loved the scene with Felix and Krystal. I loved that they let Jordan Gavaris be Jordan Gavaris and man I really do like him, from an intellectual point of view. He's the type of guy you would want to be friends with and go hang out with at the bar.
-Everyone is double crossing everyone.
I hope Krystal doesn't die. That would suck, and that's saying something because we've only had her for an episode and one scene

This is a very smart show but always in danger of overdoing it. Loved the turnabout gay playing straight scene with Crystal. Amazed how much they fit into that 50 minutes.
It was an older, gray-haired woman, definitely not Shay. And certainly not Coady, since she's with Castor, and Nealon is working with Rachel and, perhaps, Topside? I got the clear sense that this woman is someone new, an unseen mastermind. Maybe even the Leda original? Could we be seeing Maslany in old-age makeup by the end of the season?

When the producers said in the behind-the-scenes feature that the character was an afterthought they added to their existing plans, I figured it was likely she wouldn't become a major ongoing presence. Still, show plans have changed before, so who knows?
I know, right? I was looking at the clock, at it was only the 40 minute mark, but felt like an hour had gone by (in a good way).
Indeed -- i also had to force myself to remember -- same actress... so now how do we direct an effort to get Tatiana Maslany nominated for Best Actress and Best support Actress (and Best guest star, for that matter)?

However -- i am wondering if he little reversion back to the British accent... will that be a deposit for good (so that Krystal will trust #CloneCLub later), or be a huge mistake, which will make Krystal hate Felix & friends & family? That would be sweeeet -- and a yet a new way Tatiana can demonstrate her skills.
What i really liked about this episode was that for much of the season we had Rachel as physically helpless, and lacking the ability to communicate as she had last season. So it seemed like a whole new character, how Tatiana played it.
But it looks like despite the physical changes, and even emotional (i think she was clearly broken by her new situation)...her devious mind is still quite in tact and still working. Good job, Orphan Black crew!

Her makeup and hair team should get an award too. Even Krystal's face looked significantly different from the other Ledas. I could barely tell it was Maslany. I'm not sure quite how they pulled that off. I think the eyebrows looked sharper or more angular, and the eye makeup was different and pointier on the outside, and the lipstick was brighter... I'm not sure what else they did.

That's assuming they ever manage to rescue her from the coma Nealon put her under.
But as the reviewer on io9 said, I love the way Krystal just unquestioningly accepted that a "truth voice" was a thing. Like it made perfect sense to her.
Responding to myself here... the io9 review claimed it was Marion Bowles. I couldn't tell.

And Scott's cat is named Denise! A man with that much sci fi crapola must have named his cat after someone. I can only think of Denise Crosby, but that is dead dull.. surely there is a Denise in some book or film that this cat is named after.
