Open Speculation about "Star Trek: Picard"

I hope that PIC is only connected DSC S3 in the same sense that 2019 is connected to Medeival Times. Or, as they call it in "Calypso", The Long Ago Period.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was at least one line referencing something that happened in DSC. Maybe in vague terms like 'The Klingon War of the mid early 23rd century'
Which would work as a reference to either DSC or TOS, since technically they were at war in 'Errand of Mercy'
My speculation about Star Trek Picard is that it will star Patrick Stewart. And be about Jean Luc Picard. And feature a dog.
It's about all we know at this point
They should reference the war on Discovery. Just for the Hell of it. I don't even know why. Well, actually, I do know why. It'll be good...

Not sure if anyone's posted this but I thought I'd drop it here before I head out the door. We have a bit of news from IGN about Riker and Troi in the new series that I at least have not seen before:

Maybe Riker became a very supportive husband and left his active duty behind to accompany Deanna on her travels while she performes the expected duties of a daughter of the Fifth House, the holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, and the heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed now that Lwaxanna has passed.
Or they're still in the Starfleet and that's why their lives aren't military!

He'd own a microbrewery.That version of Riker wouldn't look out of place in 2019.
It's obvious that Riker and Troi left Starfleet to open their own space diner out in the middle of the quadrant.
