Do you think the show will have allegories about the administration?
They'll walk a tightrope. If you make something too of the time, you run into the kind of problems Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country had. It's so of its time, it's impossible to watch without thinking of 1991.
Now is not the time for the writers to shy away... but I digress
If Hydra was just one dude with way too much time on his hands.
There's going to be a whole influx of new posters because Picard will be higher profile. Some people are just feeling their way around, some others not so much. Everything will sort itself out eventually.
