Glad to see those additions and hopefully we'll have a well handled intro to the family for Britta, unlike Jeff's.

Well to be fair, that was in Season 4. The show runners mishandled a lot of things in Season 4.

^ I totally agree with that. It's just too bad that it was so mishandled because that was an interesting side of Jeff's character just fall apart and can essentially never references again.

Screencrush.com keeps opening the App Store on my phone. PLEASE tell me this is not a new big thing because it's extremely obnoxious. (Don't get any ideas trekbbs!)

They were definitely going to add more new cast, hopefully they can do as much as trey did with Banks.

I'm more interested to see Annie's parents than Britta's. All we really know about them is they abandoned her in a time of need and she probably hasn't seen them since.

If her father appeared and he looked similar to Jeff it'd be a very funny-creepy moment.

A little surprised that no one posted this but there has been casting news recently: Paget Brewster and Keith David are joining the cast. Martin Bull and Lesley Ann Warren will be appearing as Britta's parents.

Jim Rash will co-direct the second episode of the season as well. .

I think you mean Martin Mull.

I'd love for Jessica Walters to guest star as Britta's father first appears and just scream.

It's pretty well known Harmon would have tried to get Bill Murray, which would have been interesting. But here's something I read that I can't quite confirm, but that Harmon wanted Jeff's meeting with his dad to be played more or less pretty straight and end up being kind of dark. Which is why NBC originally nixed the idea. Which is why we get that set up in season 3 about Jeff's father but no real follow through.

I'm not ruling out the possibility that Harmon might find a way to revisit Jeff's dad in a better way (probably not with Bill Murray, though). After all, there was a gas leak.

Yeah, William Winger's a pretty common name, isn't it? There have to be more than one in Colorado who had a son about Jeff's age they walked away from. ;)

Just popping into wonder if anyone noted Yvette's recent appearance on Talking Dead? There's two big things about her on that show.

1) She's been cleaning up and taking care of herself. And it really shows. Day-um.

2) She watches Walking Dead REALLY HARD. This time they made a lot of fun on the pages and pages of notes she takes when watching every episode before showing up on TD. Yikes.

There's only one thing I can say about my recent thread faux pas:

Looks like it's always looked.

And it's been reported that Season 6 is getting roughly the same budget that the NBC Community got.
