Why do they never run into another version of the queen true love Daniel?

Because he had been killed by Cora before Regina even became the Evil Queen. In fact, his death was what drove Regina to become the wicked person she was. On the other hand, Wish-Robin was alive because he was in a made-up world where Emma never became the Savior and the evil version of Regina had been vanquished (but even in that reality, Daniel was dead).

So, Alt-Regina's 'place to start over' is a realm in which she is known as an evil Queen and is being hotly pursued by Prince Charming and his grandson for killing Snow White and her daughter? Good luck with that one, Queenie.

Wow! I really, really liked Regina's hairdo tonight. And she seemed like she was in a cheerful mood, having a drink at the new bar with Snow and Emma.

I was happy for Jasmine. The kiss of true love not only freed the kingdom of Agrabah from being trapped inside a ring but also liberated Aladdin from his role as a genie. And while Ariel wasn't able to find Eric in the flashback, we know that they'll end up together eventually. There has got to be a way for Ariel to help send Hook back home, as she has been known to cross realms.

Next week, though, it appears they're going back to Neverland.

The plot thickens. Ever since Gideon arrived in Storybrooke, he"s been determined to kill Emma in order to defeat the Black Fairy. As it turns out, things aren't as black and white, as he's been under the control of the Black Fairy herself all along. She possesses his heart, and every sinister thing he's done is because of her. I actually felt sorry for the guy - abducted at birth, raised and made to suffer by a malicious fairy, and now he's not in control of his own actions. But I wonder what Black Fairy meant when she said part of Gideon wanted all this to happen. Something tells me it's Gold who will eventually defeat her. He didn't have a normal childhood himself. His own father was the impish Peter Pan, and now his mother is using Gideon for whatever evil plans she has.

I didn't see the heart thing coming, although I probably should have. And you would think that they would hang on to Isaac a bit longer, until they sort out Henry's writing in tongues. But I'm kind of getting the feeling that the producers believe this will be the last season and that they're working up to a finale.

^ I hope not. It's the only primetime show I look forward to every Sunday. Besides, it would be anticlimactic to end on such a note.

Hamilton tickets! Isaac commented on Henry's trance state: the final chapter is yet to be written, and it's the Savior's final battle!

Unfortunately, the ratings have been slipping, especially this year, and I'm a little bit worried about renewal. Fingers crossed.

I don't want the show to end, but the status quo does need to end. Regina needs to get her happy ending. Rumple needs to once and for all redeem himself/ let go of being The Dark One permanently. I have to say I that while I still liked the show generally speaking that I had begun to have a vague sense that the makers of the show had lost focus. However, as things are winding down, I think I see what the game plan for the season has been all along and I like it. While things have seemingly meandered, the whole point of the season has been to explore what it means to be a Savior and to bring this chapter to an end. Making this season's format a full season with smaller arcs is partly to blame for why the season has seemed to drag on with little to no direction and why we've gone from Hyde being the villain to the Evil Queen to Gideon and now to the Black Fairy. Hyde though interesting probably couldn't have remained interesting for a whole season. The Evil Queen certainly couldn't and Gideon (who turns out really wasn't a villain) and the Black Fairy like Hyde probably couldn't either.

My issue is that I want to see the show get a proper finale. I'm ok with it ending, since it may have run its course, but to end on a cliffhanger or without a proper finale would be a disservice to the show and the fans.

Adam and Eddy are ending this particular storyline with these characters definitively, regardless of what happens with renewal. This has been pretty much confirmed.

Tonight's episode showed how much Snow and Charming sacrificed for Emma. At one point during the Dark Curse, both of them awakened prematurely, but Gold warned them not to find Emma before the prophecy was fulfilled. Otherwise, being reunited with their daughter would have doomed everyone else in Storybrooke. Again, Snow willingly gave up the pixie dust that could finally break the sleeping curse on her and Charming so that Emma could find a way to save Hook in Neverland. (And who would've thought Tiger Lily was once a fairy?) I was glad that Regina eventually found a way to break the sleeping curse - by having the townies each share a drink of the potion that led to the Charmings' awakening.

I really like Jamie Murray as the Black Fairy. If there's something this actress does well, it's to portray an alluring and devious villainess, much like her alien character Stahma Tarr on Defiance. I've finally resumed watching Season 3 on Amazon Prime.

I have an out-there theory: Tiger Lily is actually the good half of the Black Fairy. Think about how poetic it would be considering that at the beginning of the season there was Jekyll and Hyde as well as Regina and the Evil Queen.

The actress who played Tiger Lily reminded me of Keisha Castle Hughes.

Loose end alert--did Gold drink something to put himself back in the curse?

I thought he had all of his memories when Emma came to town, but it's been a long time since I watched that season. It might have been played as ambiguous (as the writers always like to portray Rumple as mysterious).

He did say that he was going to drink the potion, but it wasn't shown that he did.

I was surprised by both Hook getting home and the Charming curse being broken-- I thought both situations would be dragged out longer. And I loved how they broke the curse. First the touching sequence of everyone drinking from the cup, then the Charmings waking up to find everyone konked out, but then--whew!-- they all woke up, too. I was a little disappointed in Tiger Lily-- for a few seconds, I thought she would come back through the door. But she may return, given that she knows something about the coming battle and was trying to get the weapon to the Savior.

I thought the Charmings early awakening when Emma was 10 was a bit much. Only so much can be shorehorned into everyone's history.

The only person who was not affected by the Dark Curse was Regina; for all of his behavior to the contrary in Season 1, it was confirmed/clarified by Adam and Eddy that Rumple/Mr. Gold did not in fact retain any of his memories of the Enchanted Forest and was affected just like everyone else.

I liked how Zelena figured into the story. At first, it seemed the Black Fairy was interested in making her an ally, but it became apparent that she only wanted Zelena to turn the blue crystals in the mines dark so that BF could use them. Fortunately, the "Tin Man's" heart absorbed all her wickedness and restored the crystals to their original state. What secret is the Black Fairy keeping that she doesn't want her son Rumple to find out?

I thought the whole subplot about Snow making Emma's wedding plans on the eve of the Final Battle was rather silly. Towards the end though, it became clear that her behavior was influenced mostly by fear and uncertainty of what's going to happen in the upcoming battle with the Black Fairy.

I'm looking forward to the musical episode in two weeks.

I am confused... in the final tete e tete between mother and son, did one side camera view show Rumple/Gold speaking to thin air? Mom was visible at the start and finish of their shots in close ups, but not the long profile shot.

Is it an editing mistake or a choice?
