Old TV shows/ Series you remember watching.

It's funny as I think of a lot of different shows that I enjoyed with my family and then some were just my own.

A Team: was kind of surprised my mom let me watch this one sometimes.
Knight Rider.
Emergency
Greenacres: and funny enough I live near a town with that name
MASH: still one my wife and I watch.
Night Court: still watch it
WINGS
Fraiser
Cheers
Diagnosis Murder
Seaquest
Red Green show: was surprised to find out it was Canadian. Always looked like it was shot in my home town.
Sesame Street

That's off the top of my head. There are a lot of other shorter run shows like Now and Again, Invisible Man, and several other sitcoms.

Magnum PI.
Simon & Simon
Remington Steele
One Day at a Time
Eight is Enough
Little House on the Prairie
MASH
Monty Python

I think MASH had the biggest effect on me. It shaped my sense of humor, my views towards authority figures and helped spur my interest in history.

It helped that I had a Mom who often watched it with me and explained the references and historical facts behind the storylines.

Watched some of Magnum PI with my mom. I think it might have been during reruns.

Word about MASH. Watched it when Fox used to show the reruns. Love it. It definitely helped to shape me too. And the writing is still so sharp.

The Golden Girls
Night Court
Perry Mason (80/90s movies, but did eventually watch the 50/60s series and Perry and Della were my very first ship! :luvlove:)
Columbo (the movies)
Matlock
The Twilight Zone
Murphy Brown
Frasier
The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (watched it with my mom, who is a big fan of them, they're pretty cool)

Taxi (Rules!)

What does a yellow light meeean?

OMG I used to like Emergency and over here they did that show back to back with Adam 12
I used to have a schoolgirl crush on Randolph Mantooth.

Maude was another great show. It was probably a decade out of date by the time I saw it but it tackled all kinds of topics-- with humor and brutal honesty. Plus no one delivered a line like Bea Arthur.

A lot of those game shows I have never heard of.

British Shows

Monty Python
Are you Being Served?
The Two Ronnie’s
The Prisoner
The Avengers
Benny Hill
Mr Bean
FawltyTowers (or Flowery Twats, depending on what was on the sign that week)

Does anyone remember a show from the 70’s called Minder? It was about an ex boxer that took jobs as a bodyguard

Yes used to watch Minder.

Also Allo Allo

‘Allo ‘Allo is still one of my all-time favourite shows. I still watch it on Britbox

“I was pissing by the door, when I heard two shats. You are holding in your hand a smoking goon; you are clearly the guilty potty."

That was so funny though, and Rene always getting caught with the waitresses

It's a nice time to be a fan of old shows. I have a LOT of the ones I loved on DVD/BD, and I can find some of them on streaming. There are ones I'd forgotten about, and ones that I never watched but was curious about, that I see pop up on disk or Amazon and indulge myself. I can't say I've regretted any I've gotten - I may have not liked some as much as others, but they're all worth a watch. Dated? Sure, I suppose, but I don't care. I enjoy them for what they are (were?). Little time capsules. I have Science Fiction Theater from 1956 and laugh when the host says "Some day soon, man will be able to..." and it almost never came true 66 years later. I watched the 40s Jungle Jim serials and groaned at the lost city and lost tribe of "African Natives" that consisted of white women dressed like Dorothy Lamour in a sarong and Indian-looking men in turbans. I watch 70s detective series and giggle affectionately every time somebody has to search for a phone booth and dial O to ask for the police. I watch 1930s Marx Brothers and 1940s Abbott and Costello and laugh my ASS off, despite some serious social drift between then and now.
