Well, if anyone with the big bucks reads this thread and is willing to put the money in? It can be a vanity project for them if nothing else… please send Terry Matalas a PM on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/terrymatalas if you think that you can help the campaign for his show in a financial capacity. Anyone willing to part fund this show needs to realise that they have no creative control over what is actually produced, they are just passively paying for their own form of expensive entertainment, knowing that millions of other people will enjoy it too and that merchandising/advertising could potentially bring back a profit.Business. They have budgets. Any money for "Legacy" has to come from somewhere.

If anyone wants me and @Danja to make a new show though instead, do not message Terry Matalas on Twitter but instead message: https://mobile.twitter.com/ShadowN8V .
Those are my thoughts exactly. I just don't see one series with the original Enterprise and another with the Enterprise-G being produced together. It'd be overkill, even for Paramount+. I think SNW would have to end first, IMO.If Legacy happens I can't see if being on air the same time Strange New Worlds is happening. That's two series set on a starship Enterprise going on simultaneously. I'm not so worried about it confusing audiences as it feeling like oversaturation.
This is one of the big things against Legacy as an "Enterprise show". SNW exists (and is quite good, and popular). And the 1701-G looks so much like the Discoprise, that I bet plenty of people didn't realize it was the Titan, and not the Discoprise, in the "Star Trek" brand bumper, for much of the season. I usually don't take brand confusion seriously, but here the potential is huge.If Legacy happens I can't see if being on air the same time Strange New Worlds is happening. Terry Matalas has said that he wants to bring back Jack.

After all the trouble Matalas went through to place them there?I didn't say that Jack wouldn't be part of Legacy, but I don't see him sticking around on the Enterprise. Same with Raffi.
Calling it the Enterprise was absolutely the right call from every story and plot progression angle. Far, far better than the USS Picard (which they did consider).Hadn't considered that. Another reason they should've not renamed Titan. Or named it the USS Picard or even the USS Shaw.

From your lips to Terry's ears.Jack and Raffi on the Enterprise don't feel like good fits to me. Raffi in large part because of her relationship with Seven. If they had her as captain or first officer on another ship-I'm guessing Starfleet is in need of more captains right now-that makes more sense. It also feels righter that Raffi would go off on more adventures with Worf. Though I was also thinking it would've been nice if Raffi and Jack, who both seem to work well outside the strictures of Starfleet-had taken off in the La Sirena to help people who the Federation wasn't or wasn't able to.
If Legacy happens, I hope they say it's a few years later and shakeup the cast a bit. I still would like Raffi and Jack to be part of the series, just not in the roles they were in in the finale. I could see Raffi and Jack more like Book on Discovery.

Jack's being set up to be a lead in Terry's show. So, I'm thinking he stays put.
Jack may be Terry's wish fulfillment character. The Kirk is strong in that one.If that's the case, I think that would be the wrong way to go. It should be Seven's series. Jack of course could play an important part. Seven is a character that better connects old and new Trek together. Perhaps by the end of the series run that would be Jack, but I think it would be a mistake to not build the series around her.

People were very quick to call Burnham a Mary Sue, even if she was intended to be the lead in a series of her own rather than an already existing one. It would be interesting if Jack is treated the same way (or not) if all this talk of him being in a PIC spinoff comes to pass.It will be interesting to hear how few complaints there will be over Jack compared to say Michael Burnham or even Wesley as he saves the Enterprise-G every week.
We'll see how his genius intellect, roguish charm, mad martial arts skills and telepathy play out.People were very quick to call Burnham a Mary Sue, even if she was intended to be the lead in a series of her own rather than an already existing one. I'm stunned they got her for a movie. She must really want to do it.Good luck getting the insanely busy Michelle Yeoh to commit to a series.![]()
She seems to be very positive towards Star Trek.I'm stunned they got her for a movie. She must really want to do it.
