i'm in for the yearly league again. between the WBC and manny and dunn not signed it could make drafts interesting.

Invite sent. That leaves us with 5 spots yet unclaimed...
And yeah, after thinking it over, the yearly draft was pushed back a week (now March 25 instead of the 18th). That lets all of the WBC games be finished, just to avoid any freak injuries. Also gives you a week to get set up, scour the waiver wire for undrafted players, make tweaks, etc. And covers us if ESPN screws the draft up and we have to go another night (happened before)

Ah, man, I much prefer the Yahoo's league interface more than ESPN's, but I suppose it's better than nothing.

Any chance I can get you guys to draft on either Tuesday or Thursday night instead of Wednesday? I'm in class on Wednesdays this semester and won't be home until 11ET.
Well, the good thing about starting this process now is the Yahoo hasn't started their fantasy baseball yet. If there is a consensus to do Yahoo (Which I'm fine with) than maybe we can cancel the ESPN league once Yahoo gets going. Personally, I wanted to try ESPN because it was different, but I signed up for a league already for ESPN so I'm flexible with what we want to do here. I think I heard something about Yahoo starting their thing tomorrow so maybe we should talk about where we want to do it. It's not too hard to re-sign up and do everything again, especially since Scout can just recreate the league from last year and I guess it automatically sends emails.
Just a thought. There is a ton of flexibility here so if everyone wants to go a certain way, than I'm fine with it too.

Well, I'm not asking for a change, just stating my opinion (as I did earlier in this thread). I know a lot of people prefer ESPN's set-up, but I've always liked Yahoo's. Maybe it's because, even though I've played several years on ESPN, I'm more familiar with Yahoo. And I also like that we have a history there: There's seven years of TrekBBS records that I'd hate to lose.
Just a question, but what makes Yahoo better than ESPN in your opinion. They seem kinda the same other than ESPN gives you free live scoring.
You pretty much get the same info on the players on both sites, but Yahoo seems to be more accessible. Maybe I still haven't figured out all of the ins and outs of ESPN, but it seems to be easier to pull up info about a particular player on Yahoo. I've often used Yahoo to assess players on my ESPN league, but I rarely do the opposite.

-a bunch of people were bitching about the Yahoo setup last year, suggested I try ESPN next time. Since they're basically the same, but with live scoring, I went for it. Draft setup in ESPN is much easier as well, as it lets you sort things, rather than Yahoo's antiquated lists. Can also customize this league a LOT more than Yahoo allows, can remove an owner if they are a no-show, etc.
-I've got 3 teams this year, and I manage the league in 2 of them. It's much simpler for me if they're all in the same spot. That's a personal thing, but still a consideration. Along those same personal lines, I can access ESPN from work, whereas Yahoo is blocked
-Don't know who else this affects, but ESPN is better at showing you the projected SP more than a couple days in advance. When I disappear for a week or so in the summer a couple times, it's a bitch trying to set my pitching, but ESPN makes it a little easier. I even used the ESPN interface to try and fix my Yahoo team last year.
-In any event, I use the player info from both sites, so most of it doesn't matter. As for the rest, personal preference and convenience won out this time. If we keep this league after the year, we can have the same history and results that Yahoo showed, so not a big deal there.

THis one's tough. I've already got a draft on that Tuesday night, and the Keeper draft is Thursday night at the moment, so that kinda leaves Wednesday as the easy target, preventing us from trying weekends when it's harder to get a good showing.
On the plus side, you're doing both the regular one and the keeper one, so you're better off autodrafting in the yearly one than your keeper team...
If this is a possibility, ESPN lets you set up a 2nd owner for your team, so if you've got a friend or relative you trust to do it, could set them up to draft for you, and you can leave them a cheat sheet of players to shoot for...
I personally prefer the ESPN leagues a lot more. Overall I just like the set up more. Also it helps to keep me active since then my leagues are on the same site and easier to manage.

Just push the date of the keeper league draft back a week, and you're all set. It ends the 22nd of march, I think. You and I just overlooked that when we talked draft dates! I pushed our yearly league (and my non-trek league) back to the 24th and 25th, so if you just go for Thurs the 26th, we're all good, and it also makes Coaster feel better, as that'll be the last week of Spring Training, so they'll be using the more or less real rosters, will have sent the 'maybe they'll make it, maybe not" guys down to minor league spring training, etc.

Either gotta change this one back to Thursday (26th), or I've gotta try and change my non-trek league from tuesday to thursday, as I've now got both drafts at exactly the same time...

That's pretty much how I feel, too. Oh, well, it's not a big deal.
However, the point may be moot since I stil can't access the Fantasy League even with Scout's invite. Hopefully I can get internet in my room sooner than later...
Either site will be all right for me - this just gives me the chance to have one more yahoo team this year (I always max out at 4 on yahoo anyways)...
On another note, in the keeper league, I have 6 players that I am thinking about keeping - so, I'm thinking that if anyone wants to grab "two players for the price of one", PM me and let me know (we can work something out).
