Official Smallville Season Eight Spoiler Thread

^

I still think that Vandal Savage would've made a good, semi-regular villian for Season 8. I agree that a half-assed Doomsday, on paper at least, is a bad idea, but I'll give it a shot.

I really don't want to judge the character before I see him onscreen.

Agreed on all counts, especially Vandal Savage.

Plus, I have a feeling "Davis Bloome" might just snap and kill Chloe towards the end of the season...

But Chloe can't die. Honestly. That's her superpower. Death is a mugs game, been there done not, bought the t-shirt, not impressed...

O.

I wonder if she still ages?

If not then, I wonder if Vandal has noticed that there's a woman out there who is as immortal as he is who can actually spend a decent duration of time with him without turning into a nana?

Just out of curiousity, what makes you think that?

Mostly the recent decision that Chloe Sullivan won't be popping up in mainstream DC continuity. Plus, I've always had a feeling she'd die by the end of the show (seeing as how she was invented for the show), and this is a good opportunity for that.

^ Her death then would have to be in the very last episode. Allison Mack's contract calls for her to appear in every episode.

Contracts in the entertainment business can be changed. Wasn't John Glover suppose to be in all of last seasons episodes (and appear in season 8)?

Perhaps, toward the end of the season, Doomsday will kill Clark, and it will be Chloe that brings him back to life. We've seen how much damage a mere human can do to Chloe, just imagine what would happen to her if she brought a Kryptonian back to life.

I like that.

Please no. Clark has enough guilt/angst as it is. This would make the angst meter peg to the max.

That would be actually kind of interesting. There has been lots of speculation or suggestion on this board that it would take a major death to finally jolt Clark into making the decision to becoming Superman. Chloe's sacrifice would certainally do it.

I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be Chloe's ultimate destiny--I could see it working nicely in the framework Smallville has set out.

The only problem with this sceniro would be Chloe's death of course lol. Every fan boy would be sitting at their tv set and screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

Well since DC's plan to integrate her into the comics more or less failed I wouldn't be surprised by her death since she has no real impact on Clark/Superman in the future.

I really hope 8 is the finale season. For gosh sakes its dipping into Stargate territory.

Clark/Welling has to man up and accept his destiny as Superman.

I bring you this exclusive shot of Tom Welling as Superman for the first time ever!

Believe it or not, I agree too. As much as I'd like to see Chloe still be alive and well at the end of the series, if she is to die, it needs to be a truly meaningful death and fitting to her character.

Sacrificing herself to save Clark would be a fitting way for her to go out.
