Niners Unite...around Babylon 5! - The Lost Threads

I've got all of the scripts for B5, Crusade and the movies, sometimes a few drafts. That's one reason I think that I haven't done the read/watch thing with the Crusade scripts - I've got 3, sometimes 4 drafts so I'd have to take apart my notebook. It's a lovely problem to have!

Wow!

Yeah...there are certainly worse problems to have, that's for sure!

I'd nominate 'Ruling from the Tomb' and 'The Long Road,' if I had to choose. On first glance at my ratings, I thought they were the best of Crusade.
I honestly don't feel "Ruling From the Tomb" was one of the best, although it does have just about my favorite line from the series:

Dureena: "I'm drowning in an ocean of testosterone".
Max: "That's okay. You're equipped with floatation devices! " - :guffaw:

Honestly, I've only seen Crusade and Call to Arms once, so my opinion might change at second glance, like it did for a number of Babylon 5 episodes on second viewing.

Oh, and at second glance, "Path of Sorrows" and "Ruling from the Tomb" are the two Crusade episodes I gave an A. Freudian slip.

At the risk of bragging, I've got some real gems, too. I've got the unproduced Crusade scripts, an unproduced Season 5 script written by Peter David and Bill Mumy and the infamous Joke Script which will appear in Volume 15.

Well, guys...I have to check out as I need to call a friend who is having a tough time right now!

But thanks very much for watching these with me!

As usual, it was alot of fun!

Always nice to have company! :)

"Path of Sorrows" was outstanding, imho. That'd be an interesting one to compare with "Passing Through Gethsemane", now that I think about it. Both center around the concept of forgiveness, it's benefits, the authority of who is involved, etc.

Peter David and Bill Mumy wrote a season five script?

Details, Jan, details!

Now THAT I'd like to hear more about sometime!

and the infamous Joke Script which will appear in Volume 15.
One of the reasons I am so eager for that VOl. 15, even if I have heard the story about it already. It's a scream!!! :guffaw:

Good idea Neroon!

HA, it was called 'Gut Reactions' and...I'm sorry to say, it wasn't very good. That and the fact that JMS seems to have changed how he wanted things to happen with the Centauri being behind the attacks on Alliance vessels are probably why it wasn't made.

G'night, PK! It was fun!

Now, Neroon, I didn't say I was the only one who had the unproduced Crusade scripts!

Even though it'd mean watching "Passing" again, since we had several people unable to attend this evening, we cold still do it some point down the road. The only problem is how many folks have the "Crusade" DVDs?

Yeah, that could be a problem. A lot of people never got them because of it being cancelled.

Nighters PK! I look forward to meeting you in person one day. These are so much more interesting that way.

Now, Neroon, I didn't say I was the only one who had the unproduced Crusade scripts!
Wasn't implying that at all. Just..... kinda.... alluding to the secret cabal of folks who have them ......

I've got the Crusade DVDs... at home. Who knows how long it will be before I'm back there, though.

Speaking of the Crusade DVDs, does anyone find it weird that the packaging doesn't say anything about the show being a spin-off/sequel to Babylon 5?

That's interesting. It just mentions being from JMS.

The few...the proud...at least until the script books are out. <g>

Oh my... it's nearly 10:00 !!! I've been here in my office since 6:30, so I think it's time for me to check out.

G'night all! Good that you stopped by, HA!

Are the script-books set to have the un-produced episodes in them as well?

I'm pretty sure that we can expect to see the ones JMS wrote. Fiona Avery wrote 'Value Judgments' so we may have to wait on that one. JMS has said that they'll try to do something with the other writers after the main 14 volume series is out.
