Niners Unite...around Babylon 5! - The Continuing Arc

All along, remember that much of this show turns on the choices we make and the consequences we must pay for them.

yeah Drakh are not meant to be pleasant. Both from outside appearance and motives.

If Claudia Christian had been anchor in any network I would never miss news :D

Tom Riker, in about two episodes ....... ummm, no. I was going to tell you something fairly ambiguous, but even that might spoil it for you. Suffice it to say it's a particular joy of mine.

Ummmm..... no, although that's a good one.

"Rumors, Bargains and Lies" as well as "Moments of Transition". Kinda special given my username :D

^ Ah yes, those two are good eps too. I'm just such a huge fan of "No Surrender, No Retreat" that when it comes to the second half of S4, that's all always the first episode that comes to my mind.

Well, there's a reason why that's also the Season 4 episode title. NS,NR also has some marvelouosly evocative musical passages. In fact, I bought the episodic CD awhile back.

Good point. ;) And that's cool about the CD.

I've actually been watching S4 myself over the last couple of weeks. I watched "Conflicts of Interest" yesterday, so I might actually get to "No Surrender, No Retreat" tonight. :D

Coolness! Sonic Images still has severl of the episodic CDs for sale, including a couple of compilations. However, I doubt they are making any more.

It's a nice slow day at work, so here I am watching Babylon 5 while at work and getting paid for it.

Conflicts Of Interest
This was a very interesting episode featuring Garibaldi. Here I thought Garibaldi's new associates were bad, but after this episode they seem good. But who really knows? I guess I'll find out when Garibaldi goes to Mars. I like the way JMS managed to bring Zathras back. That whole scene between him and Ivanova was hilarious. I hope we see more of Zathras, all 9 of them. And good old Ivanova is now an anchorwoman. I love Babylon 5's newscast already! They should be getting high ratings!

^^
As far as I know, that's the last of Zathras. :( The actor who played him died in a motorcyle accident a while back, so we won't be seeing any more of him in the new DVD movies, either.

Wow. That's really sad :(

Rumors, Bargains, and Lies
This episode was about keeping secrets and lying to keep the secrets. For Sheridan it worked perfectly, for Delenn it almost got her killed. I like how both plots of this episode were based around the same theme, and because of that, it flowed really well. Sheridan's plot was very light-hearted, whereas Delenn's was more serious and dark. Throughout this episode I was thinking about how nice Neroon is now a good guy. Well, that was dashed at the end where it looks like he was bad all along. That was quite a surprise

As G'Kar once said.... "No one here is exactly who he appears."

And now you see why I was reluctant to divulge much earlier when I used spoiler tags

Moments Of Transition
Lots happened in this episode. Let's start with the Minbari side of things. Interestingly, as it turns out, from what I understand, Neroon was good all along. And him leaving the White Star and joining up with the Warrior Caste was all part of the plan? Is that correct? Was Delenn's plan to use the Starfire Wheel from the beginning? If so, interesting. Neroon has certainly come a long way since Season 1. Now he actually sacrificed himself to save Delenn. And now the Grey Council has 5 Worker Caste members, giving them the majority. Meanwhile, Garibaldi is still receiving midnight communiques from Edgars, who is a little camera shy. Why this is, is obviously for some reason that I'll be finding out sometime in the future. Bester is obviously implicated in whatever was done to Garibaldi back in the 2nd episode of this season. For what purpose they experimented on Garibaldi, I don't know. Lyta has also signed her cadaver away to the Psi Corps. Creepy. While Delenn was saving her world from civil war, Sheridan was starting a civil war with Earth. Very interesting. I can't wait for the next episode :)

Let's just say

"Five years since we met Neroon
he ended up a hero
started out a major loon.
"

;)

Tell me - Are you a Marx Brothers fan? ;)
Why yes... why don't you bore a hole in your head and let the sap run out?

I've good enough mind to join the club and beat you over the head with it.

Hello, room service? Send up a larger room.

Heh, heh, heh... at's a some joke, eh boss?

(insert harp music here)

From this point on - actually it's already begun - things get very uncomfortable with regards to Garibaldi. It's among the most difficult parts of the series to watch, in part because I love the character so much.

Now let me see where I put those pics......
