Well, I didn't want to very TOO much from the original title. :D

So now where were we.......

That's the glare form my Minbari headpiece, seen in the previous thread. :D

Shouldn't this be Niners Unite... around Babylon 5! - The Coming of Shadows. ;)

Can't wait for some more reviews. This thread has quickly become one of my favorite places on the Trek BBS.

Well, I thought about that particular variation, but I have hopes that it will continue well beyond that season. After all somtimes.... hope is all we have.

Mine too. Reading first time reviews are great.

Just wanted to thanks Neroon for running this thread this time!

Hope you all enjoy the shiny new thread! :)

It really is one of hte more fun threads to visit, what with the newcomers to B5. It's one of the very best for revisiting and jsut smiling at all of the reactions to someone witnessing it for the first time. I think part of that comes from it having no "forerunner" if you will, whereas with DS9 you have two other Trek series that set up some of the structure. That's not to say that you can't get the same type of experience with first-timers to DS9. However with it you have a real sense of familiarity with that universe, as well as its look and feel. With B5... it's all the forest primeval.

This is a beautiful new thread ;)

Atonement
This is a very interesting character episode for Delenn. We learn more about the past on the Grey Council and as the apprentice of Dukhat. What was really interesting is that it was Delenn who decided to go to the war with the humans. I wasn't expecting that! Also, some Minbari have human DNA in them from Valen. So that makes Valen, Delenn's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather? That puts their "marriage" in The Parliament Of Dreams in a whole new light. Meanwhile, Marcus and Franklin are on their way to Mars. "I am the very model of a modern Major General..."

Racing Mars
This is an excellent episode. It was hilarious and serious at the same time. Captain Jack was a funny character who ended up blowing himself up because there was a "keeper" attached to him. It's too bad he's dead, I would've liked to have seen more of him. Now the question is, who is planting these Keepers on people? And for what purpose? Regarding Garibaldi, whatever happened to Mr. Garibaldi? It's all building toward something, what that is, who knows. Meanwhile, Sheridan is dutifully following the 50 Minbari rituals he must go through. As Lennier so succinctly put it, "Woo hoo?"

"Atonement" - three words: little black dress.

"Racing Mars" - do you understand more about keepers and their purpose?

Well, I understand they're controlling the host body. I don't know what their purpose is in doing so, and who is behind it.

This is all I was able to glean as well, watching the episodes through Endgame. I assume they come into play later in the series (since one was seen in the future segments of War Without End), but are they further explained?

Oh yes... ;) You'll find out their origin and their purpose.

Rumors to the contrary, Jan is not her brother's keeper.

(that's called getting the obvious jokes out of the way first)

Lines Of Communication
Those Drakh are creepy. Their ships look a little like Vorlon ships, don't know if that's just coincidence are some sort of hidden meaning. Minbar looks like it's headed toward civil war. In fact, it's almost paralleling what's happening on Earth. Meanwhile, on Babylon 5, Sheridan has decided to fight the propaganda war by producing some propaganda himself, with Ivanova as anchor . And on Earth, Franklin has a new girlfriend, the mysteriously named Number One. This is a good episode that sets up a lot of things for future episodes.
