Bears, Packers, and Vikings... oh my! No matter what happens there's going to be serious drama all over the place in the NFC North.
If the Vikings win the division with Favre looking good, the Packers could look pretty bad, especially if we get swept by Favre led Vikings. That'd be riot in the streets territory.
If the Bears don't win the division, Mr 2 first round picks Cutler looks like a flop. He doesn't have any receivers, and what they're trying to pass off as receivers he's just throwing under the bus! Chicago-land will not accept anything approaching Grossman/Orton numbers out of this guy. What if after all those picks in that trade he ends up as the third or fourth best QB in the division?
If the Favre edition Vikings tank it could potentially bring down the whole "Coach Kick Ass" regime. I mean you got Childress personally chauffeuring Favre from the airport, after Favre pretty much played him like a fool just so he could skip training camp. I love Brett, but damn, he's done very little serious work to prepare for the season physically and he's closing in on 40 years old. It's not a good combination. His last season with the Packers, where we lost in the NFC Championship Game he put in lots of extra effort in the offseason and it showed. Despite that he still wore down some near the end and didn't handle cold weather situations well at all. He's still probably better than than the fumblecopter and T-Jack put together, but there is a pretty big potential bust factor in there, and I have to wonder about that team's chemistry at this point.
GB @Min will be a ratings bonanza for ESPN Monday Night Football. I wonder if the Lambeau matchup Nov 1 is too early for Sunday Night Football Flex Scheduling, I'm sure NBC would kill people to air that.
