All hail Kyle Orton!
Oh, did he win the coin toss to see who'll start for the Bears? :D

Hoping The Redskins do well.
I didn't watch all of the game, but I did see some of Colt Brennan play. Not bad. Not bad at all. I had my doubts as to whether he'd make it in the NFL. There's a long way to go and a whole lotta better defensive players to go against. But I thought he looked alright out there.

Well, preseason has started. It's a nice time to get ridiculously excited about games only to realize halfway through how boring they are. It is a battle of PA teams for me to watch on Friday, which might make it somewhat worthwhile when AJ Feeley is throwing to Shaheer McBride with 5 minutes left in the fourth quarter against the 3rd string Steelers defense.

Well, despite it being preseason, I'm still excited. The 49er QB race has gone from 2 people to 3 with Smith, Hill and O'Sulliven. I have a feeling Smith will be the starter, but I really hope it's Hill given what he showed at the end of the last season.

Houston opens it's preseason with Denver in Houston. I'm really interested to see how our offensive and defensive lines are doing. Especially how the offensive line is taking to Gibbs ZBS system. Andre Johnson has a hammy pull, so he probably won't play for a week or two.

^Denver and Houston have been meeting each other pretty frequently these past few years, haven't they?

Marshall is going to be suspended for 2-3 games for bad behavior. Aside from being disappointing, it's also kinda bad that he's missing a couple of pretty important games (Oakland and San Diego with the possibility of New Orleans).

It seems like Denver has been added to our permanent pre-season list along with Dallas. Dallas for understandable reasons, Denver probably because it's where our GM, head coach, and offensive coordinator (which is Denver's head coach's son) comes from.

That, and half the players Denver cuts seem to end up on our team.

There is always a story down here about Daddy Shanahan having dinner with his son after the pre-season game.

Perhaps it's time to rename them then Houton Broncos Jr... ;)

They let Kubiak and Rick Smith come to us, and that eventually will make us a much better team. Our drafts have certainly been a lot better under those two than the previous administration. Shanny Jr. seems to be doing a good job also. Hope he learns a lot from Gibbs this year.

Well, the Panthers training camp hasn't exactly been very great for the team. Steve Smith's suspension for the first two regular season games will make it that much more difficult for them to win, since the last couple of years, he's been the major reason the team has done well.

On the other hand I can't blame the management for suspension, since it looks like Lucas, one of the starting defensive players could be out for a few games due to surgery for the broken nose.

I'm guessing the Panther will go 6-10, maybe 8-8 at best. About the only possibility is the NFC South currently isn't exactly a powerhouse division, of course if Favre ends up in TB, I'd say they become the favorites in the division.

Hey Ravens fans (fan?) on this board. Any idea who's starting QB tonight for the pre-season game?

^ Bwahahahahaha!

As a Jaguars fan, I support any and all teams who thrash the Titans. Except maybe the Patriots. Well....nah, I'd even (grudgingly) cheer for the Pats.

:D
