But didn't Shockey play for Payton when the latter was coaching in New York? That may be as much of a factor as anything else.Yeah, I kinda agree. Especially considering his attitude. I know he's a talented player and all, but you have to be careful what kind of personality you introduce to the locker room.

I mentioned in my first post that I think we should. No need to really merge them anymore now that we have our own forum.
Well, they're inferior to both the Cardinals (despite those two infuriating last-play wins in 2007 that cost the Redbirds a playoff spot) and Seahawks, so I think 8-8 is quite optimistic. You should probably hope for 6-10.![]()
If I knew you personally, that wouldn't be a bad bet.
Which leaves our #1 receiver as....Troy Williamson. Even as a diehard Gamecocks fan, this thought scares me to death. We've also got Mike Williams (out all last year with injuries), John Broussard (old and more of a pass returner), and Dennis Northcutt (missed half of last year with injuries). Oh. Joy.
Damnit, more Brett Farve crap. Dude needs to just Let. It. Go.

If Troy Williamson is your best receiver, that's a sorry state of affairs. The guy has the hands of a lobster. You'd better hope Northcutt stays healthy.
