NFL 2021 season - Belichick Strikes Back

It would be interesting to see if some territorial dispute comes out of this. I can't imagine Jerry willingly giving away a piece of THAT pie.

Yeah, I seem to remember the Niners putting a stop to, was it the Raiders moving closer to them? Austin is closer to Houston than Dallas, but I wonder if there is a specific distance involved that a single team can stop a relo. This might be in addition to the league-wide vote on team moves.

I think the Austin territory is complicated because the Oilers moved out of state and it became Cowboys territory, then the Texans were created and Austin being closer to them. So both teams have a claim, which is going to make the Bills move that much tougher. The Bills will likely expect Austin to write checks to both the Cowboys and Texans, in addition to building a stadium, in order to lure them there.

The Bills should move to Austin and have a division realignment. We could have the Austin Bills, Dallas Cowgirls, NO Saints, and that semi-pro team from Houston in the same division.

If they ever go real and took the Cowboys TF out of the NFC East. Every team in the NFC South is further East than the Cowboys, so it's up for grabs which one should get sent to the East. Carolina would be the most obvious.

If Florida can have three teams (though they shouldn't) then so can Texas (though they shouldn't.)

If the Bills do move to Austin, I wonder if they'd switch to the AFC South and the Colts return to the AFC East.
 
Considering the nature of the name of the Buffalo Bills, would they have to change their name to the Austin Dillons? Austin Aries? Austin Powers? Brian Austin Greenes?
