As a Packer fan living in Dallas I'm more relieved than happy. Though I'm pretty happy. Just like 2 years ago. I don't expect Green Bay to win it all this year and didn't expect it that year, but I at least don't have to put up with the gloating I'd have to endure. That game was my Super Bowl.

A couple of rookies led the team this far, you may get your wish next year with a playoff tested QB who brought his team back from an 18 point deficit.
Not necessarily, if a healthy Derek Carr and the Raiders, with another year of tinkering by Reggie McKenzie, have anything to say about it.

I'd love to see that too. I'd root for Oakland (y'all still in Oakland right?) over the Pats. Hell I'd root for Trump over the Pats.

I actually don't think Green Bay's defense can keep up with Atlanta. The divisional game had Prescott looking like the situation was just way, way too big for him, and then Dom Capers' halftime adjustments were goofy enough to make Prescott look like Romo for the last two quarters.

And then since Ryan is the most boring quarterback in the league next to Flacco, all the media stories will be about "How much longer do Belichick and Touchdown Tawm have?" and they'll be sucking him off more than they did Manning last year, especially since it's on Fox.

Good. And I hope Roger is the last one to have to do so, while he's handing the trophy to Tom and wondering how it came to this after he won that BS deflategate suit and got to punish the Pats for playing outdoors in winter...

We could have some fun with Roger this weekend, but he's too chickenshit to actually even come to a Patriots game. He's decided to go to Atlanta for the second week in a row; definitely not because he's dodging the Pats or anything.

Just making it worse by dragging it out. Come, sit in a private box, get booed for a minute, and get it over with. the longer he comes up with excuses to pretend it's totally normal that he's avoiding the Pats, the more life he gives it.

It's not like Atlanta is much more pleasant this time of year than Boston, no sir.

Yeah, that's probably it; he's going because he favors wearing a light jacket over a winter coat. Of course, that dumb quip ignores why he went to Kansas City last weekend for their game, as well. Guess he's a huge fan the pleasant ambiance of ice storms and freezing rain as well? Wasn't aware it was that cold in the luxury boxes, Kraft seems to get by just fine in his silly blue shirt with white collar every sunday.

Keep the hot takes coming...

ETA: Weather Sunday in Foxboro is calling for mid-40s, party sunny. Rough one!

I just think it's amusing that literally two years later you're still crying about Brady getting boned by a CBA that was literally created because of a lawsuit that he (and eight others, admittedly) brought.

I mean, of all the reasons to consider Goodell an incompetent boob -- which are more numerous than the stars in the sky -- you're still focused on Brady's balls.

First off, I think it's at least fair to complain about an unfair punishment until the punishment has been completed. QB missed 4 games this season, and Pats are still losing another draft pick in the NEXT draft because the NFL didn't understand why the low pressure sensor in your car goes off in the winter sometimes. And then as part of their lawsuit, they forced the judge into a position where if they lost, it basically blew up the CBA and meant the Commish lost all power to punish anyone, so then they had to go all out or else they were screwed.

Of course, it's happened several times since (the ball thing, for example in that Giants game THIS YEAR) and NFL didn't even care enough to put out much of a comment. Rushed down to check balls at halftime, 5 minutes after the complaint in the Pats game, but they weren't sure if the Giants had complained, or submitted formal complaint paperwork in that instance, so weren't worried about it. NFL took measurements of balls the following year, but then shredded the numbers when done, so wonder if they backed up the NFL's argument

So yeah, when you get 5 years in jail for driving 2 mph over the speed limit while cars blow by you without a ticket, can imagine it's annoying.

And there's TONS of reasons Goodell is a boob, but you're the one that was focused on Brady's balls there. I focused on Roger's balls, or lack thereof. Making excuse after excuse for why he can't come to Foxboro to face the music, and how it just becomes more obvious he's afraid to come here over time. Heck, you're the Mensa mind here that's suggesting it's probably because the weather in Atlanta is nicer than New England. Yep, probably the weather, again despite him going to the freezing rain game in KC that was postponed due to dangerous ice. If he just showed up, got booed from his private box, and went home, it would sorta be over. By making excuses and dodging it over and over, he's dragging it out and making it more embarrassing for himself. If he thinks he didn't do anything wrong, and was in the right, what's the issue? Not like he's going to be tailgating or sitting in the nosebleeds and get roughed up or something, so safety concerns is a non-starter.

Weather, and not being a chickenshit, is probably the reason he didn't attend the 2015 NFL Season Opener game, or the 2015 AFC Divisional game or AFC Championship game, and why he missed the 2016 AFC Divisional game and now the AFC Championship game as well. The more games he dodges, the more obvious the reason. :techman:

His current excuse is that he wants to be at the last game at the Georgia Dome (despite being there last week). Even he wasn't dumb enough to say that the extra 15 degrees was a factor.

Also, I DIDN'T mention Brady, CBA, a lawsuit, or crying (until after your trolling, at least); YOU brought it up. Only mention of Deflategate in that series was to say it was the reason Goodell was coming up with excuses for why he can't come to Foxboro. You added in the rest to troll me and other Pats fans, because despite being an Admin, you're not better than that.

And then you postulated it was weather-related, dunno which part of your ass that came out of. But probably not weather why he's skipped the last 5 games that would have made sense for the NFL Commish to come to, huh? Games that he's gone to every time prior, and would have gone to anywhere but New England... Tough to talk about why Roger won't show his face in the area without mentioning the obvious reason why.

Stay with your weather hypothesis, though, I think that one's got promise!

Not the lawsuit I was referring to, but holy Moses, you sure do type novels when someone dares to take the slightest swipe at the Patriots.
