Do we arbitrarily rule that one species is more real than the other, or do we Thunderdome it, facing Ginger vs Ganger until one of them wins the rights of personhood, and then throw another one of each into the Thunderdome?

I really really enjoyed "The Doctor's Wife!" It felt like I was watching something really different, in a good way. Loved the parts with him and the TARDIS! "Hello, I'm Sexy." Best introduction line ever! The Amy/Rory scenes were super intense and emotional. Great acting from everyone. Little bit confused about "the voice" and what is an Ood?

About the last two episodes, how did the Doctor know Amy was in labor, or that she was even pregnant? The body scanner kept fluctuating between positive and negative. Or will this all be explained in the next episode?

An Ood is something you encounter with David Tennent's Tenth Doctor starting in the Second Series (with Rose) and later on in the Fourth Series (with Donna), where you learn more about the Ood.

As for your question about how the Doctor knew? He's the Doctor.

JG, when it comes time I'd reverse that and get Eccleston's one season out of the way first. Jumping straight into Tennant, you're at the halfway mark of the Doctor/Rose story, and while that's not bad, it really pays off more if you start at the beginning on that and watch that plot evolve and grow before it reaches Tennant. Besides which, Eccleston packs a LOT into that one year. And you get the infamous Captain Jack Harkness to boot.

Second 2 also leads a bit into the spinoff Torchwood (and to a lesser degree, the Sarah Jane Adventures, with the third episode of the season as sort of loose pilot for the series).

Although the Torchwood series (At least seasons 1 & 2) aren't 100% necesarry to follow up what's going on in WHO, they do sort of fit in with the later episodes of WHO season 3 and especially WHO season 4 (Which is a crossover of sorts with both spinoffs). Torchwood seasons 3 and 4 don't have much to do with WHO (Except for Peter Capaldi playing a different role in 3) and are more long story arcs rather than episodic. While season 3 received a lot of praise, Season 4 is generally considered kind of meh.

Sarah Jane ocassionally ties in more with Doctor Who. Tennant's Doctor appears in season 3, Matt is season 4 (in a story set between seasons 5 and 6). It's also the only one of the new Whoniverse to feature the original Brigadier Lethbridge Stuart in the season 2 finale-Nicholas Courtney, before his death, although he isn't quite as spry as in those old stories Elisabeth Sladen, the show's lead, also unfortunately passed two months later

Woah woah people! Hold your horses! I said that I would eventually get to the other seasons. After I finish season 7, I have to watch S3 of OITNB, the final season of White Collar, and then I want to give DS9 another chance. So it could be a while. I appreciate all the info about previous seasons but can we just stick with the Matt Smith years for now? My brain is on overload. Thanks


Well. That was a lot. Powerful yet humorous which is an odd combination. The Doctor coming to terms with where Melody was conceived! I definitely had a good laugh with the epilogue too. Poor Amy! This just isn't her year.
