Reading some of the comments here and at the TrekToday link, I am starting to wonder: is he hard up for money?
This isn't going to happen regardless of a letters, anymore than Captain Sulu (way more popular than Worf in his day), Captain Riker, or another other Captain idea. It's over. doesn't mean I wouldn't be interested in seeing something, it's just not going to happen.
You'd get far more letters wanting an Evil Picard TNG Recut series than a Captain Worf. You'd get a ton for an itnernet series based on killing Wesley off each week (not a bad idea for a mini series...).
One: Worf doesn't have the star power.
Two: TNG fans will always be wanting the rest of the TNG cast. Which isn't going to happen.
Three: Dorn doesn't have the pull and balls to go up against a studio, once greenlite, who would take it over and start making all the important decisions and re-writing his material. I don't trust today's Paramount (or CBS) to do right by Trek and neither should Dorn.
Four: I don't think Dorn has the knowledge of the TNG/TOS universe to do it porper justice. I'm afraid he'll pull off a combo of Logan and Enterprise.
Now, what I would accept, and what likely has more of a chance (but again, we have to deal with today's Paramount), is a mini series with Worf at the lead and more than fleeting TNG cast appearances; tie up some loose ends, give Riker his day in the sun as the Titan captain, retcon Nemesis out of existance, and give us a more proper TNG send off than what we got.
And if I even see or hear the name "Adminal Janeway", I'm gonna wetch.
But in the end, why Trek? Does Dorn not have more creative ideas? If he can write how he's implying he can, I want to see him spread his wings. You can't live off of Worf forever; even The Shat is known for more than just Kirk.
