Nemesis Line-by-Line

Is there a transcript anywhere for Star Trek yet? I know I'd need one to try to keep up with it.

I did this at the end of Insurrection and thought that since we're here at the end of Nemesis, I'd let everyone see it again and a final (maybe?) comparison of how long it's taken to transcribe each movie:

TMP: Feb. 3 - Feb. 24, 2009 21 days.
TWOK: Jan. 14 - Feb. 1, 2009 18 days.
TSFS: Feb. 24 - Mar. 9, 2009 13 days.
TVH: Mar. 9 - Apr. 3, 2009 25 days.
TFF: Apr. 3 - Apr. 19, 2009 16 days.
TUC: Apr. 19 - May 3, 2009 14 days.
GEN: May 3 - May 15, 2009 12 days.
FC: May 15 - June 6, 2009 22 days.
INS: June 7 - July 30, 2009 53 days.
NEM: July 31 - August 26, 2009 27 days.

Someone speculated that as with Insurrection taking almost two months to complete, it might be similar with Nemesis, seeing as how it's relatively unpopular too. Guess not. lol

Woot! Congratulations everyone on completing another movie!!

I have not yet seen either a script or a transcript for Star Trek XI online. I'm with leandar that I would need one or the other in order to be able to keep up with that film. Heck, I've used either scripts or transcripts all along to help my shoddy memory, even for those films I've seen a bagillion times. Has anyone else found a script or transcript online?

I've had alot of fun with these line-by-line threads, and I really don't want to end it with this one, though. I suppose we could always start doing episodes. Though I don't think any of us has enough time left in our lives to transcribe the, what, 600+ hours of televised Trek. :) Maybe we could do some of the feature-length two-parters?

Anyone got any suggestions on how to best keep our line-by-line threads alive? :)

I've been thinking we could do some episodes here and there.

My thought might be some of the more popular episodes, say start with TOS. We could do some of the more popular episodes like Mirror, Mirror, City on the Edge of Forever, Journey to Babel and so on.

Do about ten or fifteen or so and then move on to TNG. Do the same amount there, then go to DS9. Then Voyager. Then Enterprise. By then, surely Trek XI will be out on DVD and we can use either the DVD or by then surely there will be scripts or transcripts out that we can use.

How does that sound?

Sounds like as good a plan as any. CoveTom since you're the originator, would you like to choose a TOS ep to start with?

WOW! I feel GREAT! WE DID IT!!!

Hey--anyone interested in doing some of the deleated scenes for the film?

Just saying....;)

How about we go through the films again. I mainly ask because I didn't have the DVDs before and so couldn't join in :(.

Of course, if we did do it all again, then Trek XI would be out by the time we finished. eheh

Sounds like a good plan to me. I doubt we could get through 10-15 episodes per series before the STXI DVD comes out, since it's scheduled out in November, I believe, but we can give it a shot. And nothing says we can't interrupt doing the episodes to complete our movies when it comes out.

Sure, I can do that. I'll probably just start with "Where No Man Has Gone Before" since it is the pilot to the version of TOS we know and love. Beyond that, I'm wondering, though, how to pick the episodes. I want to let everyone have a chance to do one they really like. What if, at the end of our first TOS episode thread, I just take the names of everyone who participated and randomly pick who gets to choose the next episode?

I'm sorry you didn't get to join in sooner! I don't have any objection to going through the films again at some point, but I'm thinking this is too soon. I'd imagine most of the people who would be participating have been participating in the threads all along, and that would be doing alot of rehashing. Would you want to come join in on some of the TOS episodes and then we can revisit the films at some point?

I don't have the TOS episodes. But I take your point. I can do most TNGs, DS9s, VOYs, or ENTs. How about doing all the opening episodes and all finales or something? Just throwing ideas out there.

Oh, of course not. But it'll also give us something to do once Star Trek XI is done as well. :)

The TOS episodes are available for free viewing online through the CBS web site. After we finish the first one, the next person picked can choose an episode from any series they like.

The direct URL is:

The CBS link doesn't work for a limey like me, guv.

I'll keep an eye out for other series line-by-lines though.

If you still want to participate in the TOS eps, there are transcripts of the episodes out there.
