Nemesis Line-by-Line

RIKER: The first time I saw Data, he was leaning against a tree in the holodeck, trying to whistle. Funniest thing I ever saw. No matter what he did, he couldn't get the tune right. (a beat) What was that song? I can't remember the song...

RIKER: The Neutral Zone, Sir. We're heading up the new task force. Apparently, the Romulans are interested in talking.

Picard: Well, I can't think of anyone better suited for the job....

But...a...word of advice, before you're first command:

If your first officer insists that you can't go on away missions....:)

Missed a line in there, after Picard says "a word of advice about your first command."

RIKER: Anything.

Then Picard continues as above. Then:

RIKER: Ignore him. I intend to. (a beat) Serving with you has been an honor.

Picard: The honor was mine, Captain.

Later

Picard: I don't know if all this has made any sense. I wanted you to know what kind of man he was. In his quest to be more like us... he helped us see what it mwans to be human.

Picard: No, he wasn't. But his wonder, his curiosity about every facet of human nature... allowed us to see the best parts of ourselves. He evolved. He embraced change because he always wanted to be better than he was.

PICARD continues: We'll talk later.

B-4: Never saw the sun... Never saw the sun... Never saw the sun...
