Tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of mankind in space, the 30th anniversary of the first shuttle launch, and the date we all find out where Discovery, Atlantis, Endeavour, and Enterprise will end up.

Watch it tomorrow on NASA Television to find out if one will end up in your neck-of-the-woods.

So, they're doing something else with Enterprise? Last I saw her, she was sitting the Smithsonian's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center as the centerpiece to their James S. McDonnell Space Hangar.

Discovery will replace Enterprise, which will go to someone else.

The Californian in me wants Enterprise to end up somewhere in or near Palmdale, where she was built and I can drive to see her, while the Trekkie in me wants her to go to somewhere in Iowa.

Riverside?

I'd love to see the Boeing museum of flight get one, if they display it correctly. The museum itself it beautiful, but the way they have that air france concorde just sitting across the street in that old plant two parking lot just makes me sick.

Scotland's Museum of Flight should get a shuttle. We know how to show 'em off.

It would be nice to get one here in Huntsville, where a lot of the design & build was done. It would go nicely with the Saturn V! We do have *a* shuttle, Pathfinder, but that's not an orbiter. While I doubt we'd get an orbiter, I bet we'll get something from the program here.

Oh bloody hell. See when you don't post in the Zone you swine.

Indeed, I saw Pathfinder back when i was at space camp. I remember throwing dimes up at the ET and making them stick in the foam.

KIRO radio in Seattle is reporting that the Museum of Flight in Seattle will not be getting a shuttle. Also, they are saying that Enterprise is moving to the Intrepid Museum in NYC.
