Since I'm mostly a TOS guy, I love this map. I've been doing some spot checks (especially around the RNZ, Klingon Border, Gorn/Talos area and inner core) and I don't feel like there's any problems. I'm thinking the edge of Typhoon Expanse may be the "void" from Squire of Gothos where the stars distribution get less dense? Excellent job, Belz...

I decided to make a TOS-only version today.

Pretty cool. However, I favor the map in the Franz Joseph tech manual, which is the one Amarillo Design Bureau based their Star Fleet Battles universe on, to include the map for the game Federation -&- Empire. That map puts the galatic core off the top, or "north" edge of the map. The Gorn are to the north-east, Romulans to the south-east, Tholians and the galatic rim to the south, Klingons to the south-west, and Kzinti to the north-west.

I haven't seen the map in a while, not having the book anymore, but looking for it on Google, the only version I see doesn't have the Tholians or Gorn. Also, the Romulans and Klingons have a long history, and so should be contiguous, and Joseph's map makes the Federation way too large, in my opinion.

Cool map, i like how the locations fit together.

One tiny nitpick, Eden should be over the border, as Sulu states they've left the Neutral Zone and entered Romulan space. I think you may also need to move Barazan into the TOS map to account for Commander Nhan.
