It was just too emotionally malicious to Dashie, sorry but I cannot condone the other 5's plan or behaviour, the town folk are whatever they need to be week to week but Twilight and the others are better than that, or were until this.
Her friends stepped in to bring her back to her good hearted self. When one friend goes out of control, what kind of friend steps back and lets her stay that way?

Maybe they could not jump to the most ridiculous solution right away? I think the writing could have improved matters by including a scene early on where the others try to approach Dash about her behavior and she blows them off, thus justifying more extreme measures.

With 21 minutes, some things have to be inferred. The editing on this episode seemed more rapid, that they had to cut a good deal of a longer story to fit it into it's time slot.

An explanation I'd be more likely to buy if we hadn't seen the show do better. Christ, "Green isn't Your Color" juggled three character arcs, introduced a fully-realized one-off character, and featured some side business about Spike's crush on Rarity. When they can fit that in under half an hour, what the hell is their excuse lately?
I like the background gags with the Nyan Dash poster in the clubhouse and the Batman: TAS-inspired posters and music at the end.
Copying time:
Alright episode. I suppose. I didn't mind at all about the plot, I suppose I was more interested in the pretty shiny spectacles of disasters that made this episode so visually interesting (and humourous).
I'll give it a B. RD's attitude was exactly what I'd expect from her, and I liked it. She's awesome, but I like that she has flaws too. And her interaction with Scootaloo is SO cute. (Especially calling her Squirt, I can't remember if she's done that before?).
Also, I did like the pace of this episode. It felt quite fast and kept me interested all the way.
Also, more Rarity next episode!![]()
I missed the Nyan Dash poster, but did catch the Batman: TAS posters. I loved the Mare Do Well costume, too — it was a fun tip of the hat to Darkwing Duck.I like the background gags with the Nyan Dash poster in the clubhouse and the Batman: TAS-inspired posters and music at the end.
I don't think I buy Dash not instantly recognizing Applejack's legs in action. I think that qualifies as a plot hole.

To be fair, a lot of Dash's knowledge of her lies between them, and bare, so...

So you're saying she's familiar with Applejack's plot hole?
