For US, yes. It was never supposed to work for us because we were used to how they really were. That's the funny underpoint of it all, that they got all these points wrong/exaggerated...which is probably what we've done with a lot of our own history (who's to say what a future archeologist will make of commercial cereal boxes they find? Will they think we worshiped Count Chocula?).
It will be a fun thing when in 1000 years they find some old TOS film reels and connect it to the stone in Riverside Iowa saying "future birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk" and other shit and then they will think it was all for real.
