I'm with you on that, too!I don't imagine that probably too many of you will agree with me on this one, but one of my main go-to comfort foods is a basic tuna casserole.

I loved this stuff as a kid, but got violently ill once after eating some. Can't even smell it withoutCouldn't resist spreading the word about an old favorite of mine that actually does still exist unchanged: B&M Brown Bread. Comes in plain or the even better raisin version. For fans of molasses, this is very rich with it. Goes great with real butter. My digestive system is quite messed up from being prescribed Accutane back in the 80s for bad acne (can't join the lawsuits because all of my medical records were destroyed....they do that if you don't go to doctors in 7 years), but I still have to indulge in a can of this once in a while. You fully cut both can ends and then push it right out. Great stuff!

All my recipes begin "Drive to supermarket" and end "heat for five minutes in microwave."is it just me or does anyone else think that this message board needs a recipe thread?
Cool, thank you.Okay, there is a thread for the discontinued products. Just found it.:
Beverages are fine. Go for it.@RJDiogenes: Does it just have to be things you eat? I have an idea for something I like to drink that's comfort food-ish. If not, I have a back up idea or two.
Ever sine then I just seem to react poorly. Eating chocolate cake, or even something like cheesecake, makes me feel very ill.
Now that's what I call a trade deficit.Alas, my country is completely Reese-less.
I'm surprised Dunkin's doesn't have that.I've always wondered why they don't make one with banana pudding, being that chocolate and banana go so well together.![]()
A life without chocolate is possible but not livable. My sincere condolences! I mean, I love fruit too, but... no chocolate?![]()

Can you get truely ripe strawberries at this time of year? Over here you get only imported ones atm. They are harvested while still half green and have as much flavour as a sip of water.
Years ago my dad and I discovered a highway restaurant in Austria where in May/June they serve pizza-sized freshly baked waffles with about a pound of strawberries and whipped cream on top. Absolutely awesome! We made it a tradition to go there at least once every strawberry season =)
