More.I like the idea of one single thread for my monthly art challenge entries, so I'm posting this here rather than in a new thread. After a weekend of intense work on my idea, scrutinizing screenshots and studying walk cycles, I'm finally done. Sorry, no progressional steps this time, but anyways, here is my entry:

It's an homage to one of my favorite Star Trek games of all time: “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – Crossroads of Time” for the Super Nintendo (and the Sega Genesis, IIRC). I just love the 16-bit graphics and thought it would be cool to combine it with Discovery. Essentially, this game is from an alternate universe, where the new show premiered in the 90s when such games were still en vouge. Also, since I like to keep it fresh, I did it as an animated GIF.
What do y'all think?
Dude... How the hell am I going to beat you when you keep pumping out stuff like this![]()
Hahaha thanx! I do think the concept can be taken further, but actually making levels for Reed to walk in... That's a long shot. Then again, I'll have to know how much area there is to use before even attempting such a thing. We'll see. Looking at the other contest threads I think it's going to be close once the voting goes live. I especially like your MGS take on Enterprise. My first game on the first PlayStation.
Yeah, I'm not sure I would attempt something like that either. The fact that it's 3D graphics – crude and simple as they may be – makes it even harder to reproduce. One thing one could do in terms of in-game graphics for your Section 31 game would be these communicator screens from MSG. I imagine it with Hoshi on the left and Reed on the right. Complete with NX-01 era UI design this could look very cool.Hahaha thanx! I do think the concept can be taken further, but actually making levels for Reed to walk in... That's a long shot. Yeah, I would, too.Oh wow! Love it! I would absolutely love to play this game!
I did all the animation in Photoshop, where I illustrated it as well. I tried doing it in After Effects, because animation comes more easily to me there, but I didn't manage to export an acceptable GIF file out of it. I really tried hard to stay below one megabyte in terms of file size, because otherwise it would take ages to load for everybody here. And that just wasn't possible from AE.Cool! What software did you use for the animation?
