anyway you have very good point but as you may know already we men are simply... impulsive. and i must say that a wall is a rather interesting target for us. aside from the window, drywall, plexi glass and the lying around bottle if you're close to a firearm.
now that i can recommend if you're angry. an AK47 and 30 7.62mm rounds. that'll ease the tension... guaranteed. there is nothing more fun than making Swiss cheese of an old car on the firing range. just make sure you keep the barrel pointed in the right direction.

EDIT: Just re-reading Spot's Meow's post - wanted to add, for me it isn't a loss of control. It's a very deliberate act to retain control. The wall is a better choice of opponent than anyone else in this house.

This is true - and one I also utilise a lot But hitting a wall is quicker, and less noticeable to anyone around me, which is usually what I want.

amen brother. rather a wall than someones face.

the most ironic one was when my friend was ran over by some moron who couldnt drive and instead of saying sorry HE called the cops. and lets just say swedish cops arent exactly agreeable so instead of punching the cop I kicked out a window. guess who got arrested for vandalism among other things. me. lovely weekend...

EDIT: just to point out the issue over here. if you have foreign background you really want to stay out of the cops way. that alone is a enough to get arrested.

That's it for me too. Sometimes I calmly look arround to find the right wall and the right spot, I want to relieve frustration, not break my wrist. And yeah, I do it quite often...

Hit a wall once, then had to go to A&E, tend to do more hitting of doors. Once kicked a paint can which hit another paint can and unexpected redecorated my spare room. It's something I try not to do but there are time when if I don't I just sit seething and get myself more and more wound up.

At least 4-5 times, nothing ever broke.

I lost a lot of skin on my knuckles one time....f-ing ouch!..scars
and another time the imprint of knuckles was left into the wall, it was place I used to rent and had trouble trying to cover that fist print up. Those were the teenage years, I'm a lot calmer now, less hormones and as a kid you really don't know self controll
