Renegade54 is a senior admin so I'd try asking them. Can someone with a deeper understanding of MA policies explain why for example Starship class names from official sources are acceptable but Adira's non-binary status is deemed not official?
As I understand it, there is no single group called Antifa - but it is a moniker placed on people who are against fascism.Wait, I thought Antifa called themselves that?
From what I understand, it's so they don't have a thousand pages that are 'Unknown Type'.Can someone with a deeper understanding of MA policies explain why for example Starship class names from official sources are acceptable but Adira's non-binary status is deemed not official?
So can't they apply that same policy with Adira, so we don't have debates about things that have been shown and proven multiple times. From what I understand, it's so they don't have a thousand pages that are 'Unknown Type'.
Yes it did. An example.Hold on a minute. If BTS sources are allowed in determining what's canon, Why the hell has there been a "debate" abt Adira's gender?? Didn't that come from production sources/promo material?
Thank you for providing. This all imo makes it more clear this was never abt "canonicity". I think i might point this out to Sulfur in the talk page.Yes it did. An example.

At this point I think they could turn to the camera and say "Hi, I'm Adira, I am non binary, please update your encyclopedias accordingly" and MA would be arguing over whether they were referring to 32nd century computing tech being ternary in nature, and so we'd best leave their gender as female just to be safe.
I'm being slightly facetious to make the point that MA are ignoring what is right in front of their faces in this particular case and trying to act like it's a policy problem. No, and it would appear that you're being deliberately argumentative and confrontational

If you have questions, or would like to open a dialog, I'm more than happy to answer the questions or respond to the dialog,
.....
If heterosexual people can kiss, hold hands, hug in public, or get married and tell the world - so should homosexual people.
If you think it is wrong for LGBT+ people, it must be wrong for Straight people too.
Surely you must know, that when homophobic people talk about "shoving sexual identity" in their face, this is what it really means.Where did I say that it was wrong to kiss someone in public? When I was twelve, I almost got lynched because while on vacation in Wroclaw (Poland) I was caught by some churchy vigilante behind a pillar in a church French kissing a girl. I'd be the last one to criticize anyone for kissing whomever they want wherever they want.
My problem comes from that fact if canonicity was the issue, why was Adira's page allowed to have Female(physiology) on it even tho that wasn't mentioned or shown on screen nor was mentioned in any BTS/production sources. It was *always* about canonicity... if it's anything MA is anal about, it's canon. Sulfur will tell you the exact same thing.
If anyone is interested in hearing it, I can give you a blow by blow description of exactly what transpired over time on the Adira page, in more detail that Sulfur's post on the talk page (which all the admins had input into creating, btw).
