Any direct quotes from him to back that up or is just something you read on the internet?

Kevin Feige is the most powerful Producer in the history of Hollywood. Nothing MCU related that gets released has not gone through him first.

What???

The tracking for The Marvels has got worse and worse and looks like it will come in below the Flash.

If anyone thinks that the reaction to that from Disney will be "just carry on with your planned films" then they should message me to discuss an option to buy a bridge.

I agree with the sentiment, but by god that's a badly written article. At one point a sentence just ends halfway through, among a bizarre amount of other typos.

But most significantly, where the hell is he getting the number 815m for the average per movie of 2023 specifically? He says he's taking 50% of Captain Marvel's box office, which would be 550m, add that to the 400 something million of Ant-man and the 865 million of Guardians. That doesn't average out to anything even remotely close to 815m.

I never cease to be amazed at this sort of thing. Apparently, to a certain generational cohort, writing is in itself such an unpleasant task that no one checks their work. When it's "done", it's over, it's in the past, and they just move on. Forever. And the resultant mess just sits there.

They're better than the people behind that Variety piece which was just a smear job.

You get what you paid got and forbes pays contributors peanuts - if I remember correct about $20 per article or so.

Those are from people handpicked by Disney to get free tickets to generate positive publicity, so I'd take them with several handfuls of salt TBH.

Other sites have been reporting that the first previews are mixed to negative. We will know more soon.

Well, given the current situation in Hollywood I would imagine nothing is business as usual.

So are they just gonna stream everything from now on?

Let's assume the tracking numbers are correct for the minute, and it does perform very poorly. Disney shareholders will want to see tangible evidence they can get the money-printing machine running again. Some films currently on the slate either disappear or are so radically reworked as to effectively new projects. As others have predicted and I agree with - this will likely involve getting RDJr and Chris Evans back for at least one film by throwing money at them.

Another sign is for someone senior to be sacrificed to the shareholders, "Shake-up at Marvel".

Also if it does bomb and no media sources uses "The Age of The Marvels is over" I will be very disappointed.

The thing is, people keep saying this as if it wasn't almost certainly already the plan to get whoever they can possibly get for Secret Wars, especially Evans and Downey.

That's the whole point of a project like Secret Wars in the first place.

That's revisionist history, I think - I certainly cannot find anything that suggests this was the case previously. Anyway, Secret Wars is intended for 2027. That is a lifetime for a corporate exec. So if they come back it will be much sooner than this I would think.
